@Angry_Staffer No, she's still not reasonable. She's full on Maga circa 2016. She only cares about Trump supporters, ie her marks and not at all about the country.
@tedcruz So you think sombereros are insulting? Really. The shutdown is on you and the Repuglicans. You can't govern. You can't do anything except insult people.
This week I voted to finally approve of the state’s $53 Billion Dollar budget. But before that, I forced an uncomfortable, but necessary conversation about immigration on the house floor.
It’s the governor’s position for the state to assume responsibility for the St. Louis city police department and if he wants to be responsible for crime in the city of St. Louis, that’s up to him. I don’t have a dog in that fight— What was attached to that law was a cooperation agreement for the City police to report the immigration status of individuals they ticketed to the Trump Administration. That’s the Governor’s decision and he’ll have to own the consequences.
The point I made on the floor this week while we debated a bill on “law enforcement practices” is that if we are requiring reporting of immigration status, we should also require proper training by an independent group like the ACLU on the complexities of our immigration system. I think that given recent headlines, it would give the public and more importantly our legal immigrant community (already on a path to citizenship) some peace of mind knowing that the officer that stopped them is well informed.
I’m all for giving our guys in blue all the access and resources that they need to do the jobs they’re tasked with efficiently. Unfortunately, my Republican colleagues disagreed with this idea and decided to end all decision on the matter to prevent any further consideration on the bill.
@MuellerSheWrote It is impossible for me to hit like because of the contents of the post you are quoting and I want there to be zero mistake about how reprehensible such a move is.
President Trump said he was uncertain whether he was duty bound to uphold the Constitution, saying in a television interview aired Sunday that was a question better posed to his lawyers https://t.co/iKiYp6QHV3
Marco Rubio in March 2016: “For years to come, there are many people on the right, in the media and voters at large, that are going to be having to explain and justify how they fell into this trap of supporting Donald Trump.”
@DefiyantlyFree Trump is engaging in human trafficking by sending people to a foreign nation to be held in prison without any due process, contrary to the rights guaranteed under the US Constitution. And he wants to do that to US Citizens.
