@rgpoulussen I had an ancestor who was killed 14th June 1942 during operation Harpoon. Fred Bush was a leading stoker on board HMS Liverpool and the ship was attacked by Italian & German torpedo bombers. There were 15 killed in the engine room. Thank you for sharing the footage very poignant.
@Nick_Britten Thanks for sharing @Nick_Britten Are you able suggest any further research I could do on the SAWVA I know my Great uncle served with the 18th Hussars during the Boer War and was apparently heavily involved with the association. Thanks Tony
@RWFMuseum I have a lot of RWF WW2 items and memories etc from my fathers service but can't attend on the day. Is there a way to send you these digitally for you to add to your collection?
@TrenchTrotter Company Sgt.Major Alfred Bush (RAMC - 1/4th London Mte Brigade) was mortally wounded on the 21st around 5pm about 1 mile from Chocolate Hill whilst setting up an advanced dressing station. He died on board HMT Arcadian 25th Aug and was buried at sea. Listed on Helles Memorial.
@TrenchTrotter Hi Tim if you do get a chance to take a photo of my ancestors name on the Hellas memorial that would be fantastic. He was buried at sea after succumbing to his wounds on hospital ship Arcadian. Thanks Tony
