Did Jude use the fact that Paul is the better talent to drive a wedge between the twins so he can tweak legalities as he pleases? Most likely Yes.

Is Peter the obviously better businessman? Yes.

Does that mean Peter deserves to be cheated? No.

Is Paul complicit in cheating Peter? Based on evidence, most likely Yes.
