@benardonhard@Sephanade It’s funny you picked to make your shitty point because in that scene Superman barrel rolls into the wall so he hits it and not the gunman.
@TheMetsX Stearns saved Mendoza because Stearns hired him and firing him would be admitting Stearns was wrong.
That ego is why Alonso, Nimmo and McNeil are gone (instead of admitting his pitching staff was the problem) as well as every other coach except Mendoza.
@ChrisKlemmer At this point there’s no reason to think Bo would opt out of 84 million over the next 2 years as he’s not been good. Holmes is nice but a rental so probably someone’s 10-20 prospect. None of it matters so long as Stearns, Mendoza and Lindor are here tho.
@FrankTic3 As soon as Alonso signed with the Orioles I was out. Do what I do and hate watch the team. The worse they are the higher chance Stearns gets fired
In the bottom of the 9th, mired in an 11 game losing streak and down by 2, the Mets 5, 6 and 7 hitters were due up which were Luis Torrens, Francisco Alvarez and Tyrone Taylor.
The number 1 payroll in the sport everyone.
@SleeperMets The boy genius gave up Sproat and Jett for Peralta and won’t get anything close to that back. Trading Tong would be the final kick in the nuts.
@SteveGelbs How is hard to understand that going from Alonso Nimmo and McNeil to Polanco Semien and Roberts would be a worse team? We already knew Baty and Vientos suck.
@NDS1089 Soto and McLean should be traded as well. This time is beyond repair and a full rebuild is needed. No need to not capitalize on the return that McLean can get as we won’t be competitive in the next 3 years.
@Ben_Yoel The Wilpons would have kept Alonso and every decision Stearns has made is terrible plus he’s a smug prick. I can guess why you like him so much tho.
@just_mets Fire Stearns, Fire Mendoza, Trade every player someone will take including Lindor and Soto. Start all over. We’re stuck eating the contracts of Polanco Manea Bichette and Senga
