BREAKING: Trump's Reflecting Pool contractors — including a TRUMP DONOR — are now under congressional investigation for the $16 million algae disaster.

The contractors behind Trump's botched $16 million Reflecting Pool — now a swampy, peeling, bright-green embarrassment — are officially in HOT WATER with Congress. And surprise: one of them is a major Trump donor.

Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-OR) launched an investigation into the disastrous renovation, demanding answers from John Cafaro, CEO of Green Water Solutions, and Curtis Wood, CEO of Atlantic Industrial Coatings — the two firms that scored NO-BID contracts to wreck one of Washington's most iconic landmarks.

The numbers are infuriating. Atlantic Industrial Coatings landed a $14.7 million contract — MORE THAN DOUBLE the original $6.7 million estimate. Green Water Solutions got $1.7 million for a filtration system that apparently doesn't filter.

Merkley nailed the hypocrisy: "After railing about waste, fraud, and abuse, Donald Trump spent more than $16 million on a renovation of the Reflecting Pool that's now peeling and chock full of algae. This is a massive waste of working families' hard-earned tax dollars. I'm launching an investigation because taxpayers deserve swift answers — and a REFUND."

Now, here's where it gets really swampy. Rep. Robert Garcia pointed out that contractor John Cafaro has donated EXTENSIVELY to Trump's campaign and aligned groups — and his firm has only ever had one other federal contract, which was ALSO a no-bid award handed out under Trump.

A Trump donor. No competitive bidding. A multi-million-dollar contract. A pool that immediately turned green. You can connect the dots with your eyes closed..

Merkley is also demanding answers about one truly absurd detail: on May 7, Trump's motorcade — at least a DOZEN armored vehicles — drove directly onto the drained pool so Trump could "inspect" it. The senator wants to know if anyone approved heavy vehicles rolling over the freshly repaired expansion joints. (Spoiler: that might explain a lot.)

The Interior Department's defense? "The White House was not involved in the selection process... Full stop." They also provided ZERO evidence for Trump's wild claim that "vandals" with knives sabotaged the pool.

A botched job by a Trump donor handed a no-bid contract. A motorcade driving on freshly applied pool surfacing. And taxpayers footing the entire bill.

It’s clear that the swamp has a new color scheme — and it’s looking exactly like algae green.

BREAKING: MAD KING! Trump insanely announces that six people have been arrested for imaginary vandalism done to the Reflecting Pool as the scandal consumes him completely.

"Six people have been arrested, and seven people have been cited, for the damage they did to our Country’s now beautiful Reflecting Pool," Trump wrote on Truth Social. "The 350 foot gash, made by a very sharp knife or razors, is actually numerous slashes over a very long 350 foot length. It was purposefully and criminally done, and somebody had to work very hard, probably in the dark of night, to create such a condition."

This is obviously a complete fabrication. Crazed vandals have not been diving into the pool in broad daylight and slashing madly with "very sharp" knives at the substandard lining that was installed. Nor are there secretive leftist cells sneaking into the pool at night to do such dirty work.

If there were any truth to Trump's claim the White House would be blasting out the evidence. There would be photos and videos of the vandals because the pool is under constant surveillance.

There are two likely explanations here. Either nobody was arrested at all, or the Trump administration scooped up six people on sham charges which will soon be thrown out. Either way, we once again see this President prioritizing his focus on a self-inflicted PR wound rather than on the rising cost of living or any of the countless other real problems facing average Americans.

"Likewise, the small area at the bottom of the Pool was cut and powerfully lifted off the surface leaving very jagged, uneven edges," Trump continued. "The large areas of grass are being replaced. In any event, even prior to fixing those areas, the Reflecting Pool is as beautiful as it can be. We will drain some of the water, either immediately before or after the Fourth of July, to do the permanent repair. President DONALD J. TRUMP"

Nobody is falling for this narrative except for the most gullible. diehard MAGA supporters. The Reflecting Pool has become a disgusting, algae-tinged swamp because Trump hired shady firms — including one run by a convicted felon — to do the renovations and they either cut corners or had no idea what they were doing.

This is run-of-the mill Trumpian incompetence, not a grand conspiracy.

Then came the line that hit the hardest:
“Jesus told us to love our neighbor as ourselves… Can we imagine war in heaven? Can we imagine hatred in heaven? Can we imagine poverty in heaven? Then why do we tolerate these things on Earth?”
This is how you respond. Not with insults. Not with fear. But with clarity and conviction.

But even in 1936, in the middle of that regime’s rise, Black and Jewish athletes were allowed to enter the country and compete. Jesse Owens was not honored by Hitler—but he was allowed to prove, on a global stage, the lie of Aryan supremacy.

Where are the African journalists in Mexico actually pressing these people on the double standards? The same FIFA that preaches “unity” and “political neutrality” watches Western host nations turn borders into tools of humiliation and says nothing. CAF leadership? Still missing in action. Motsepe and co. would rather protect their seats than defend African dignity.

This isn’t sport. It’s power flexing with a ball. The multipolar world isn’t chilling. We’re watching who still thinks they can dictate terms to the rest of us.

No more begging for respect on their terms. Sovereignty means we stop accepting second-class treatment — on the pitch and off it.

A FIFA referee, named the 2025 African Referee of the Year, designated for the World Cup, with diplomatic documents and a diplomatic visa, was turned away at Miami airport, interrogated for eleven hours, held in a cell, and sent back without a clear explanation.

His name is Omar Artan, he's Somali, and he would have been the first Somali citizen to referee a World Cup match.

The worst thing is that all this is happening on the eve of the biggest, richest, most global World Cup ever.

A tournament that boasts about inclusion, diversity, openness, and brotherhood among peoples. But then all it takes is a Somali passport to transform a sporting dream into eleven hours of interrogation and humiliation.

In fact, Artan hasn't been charged with anything specific; his problem is his nationality.

FIFA washes its hands of the matter: it says the host country manages immigration, but Infantino playing Pontius Pilate is simply laughable because Infantino is complicit.

If you organize a World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, you must ensure that athletes, coaches, referees, and delegations can participate.

Otherwise, you're not really organizing a World Cup. You're organizing a global competition with selective entry, where some are welcome and others must hope not to be treated as suspects simply because of their passport nationality.

It happened to Fabio Cannavaro and the entire Uzbekistan team, searched with metal detectors and drug-sniffing dogs. But there are many cases of senseless checks on staff and players.

Omar Artan said that refereeing at the World Cup was the greatest dream of his life.

That dream was taken away from him at the border, after eleven hours in a cell as if he were a criminal.

And it's a huge shame.

Somali referee Omar Abdulkadir Artan—2025 Africa Referee of the Year and the first Somali ever selected for a FIFA World Cup—arrived in Miami with a valid visa and diplomatic passport.

The response from US authorities? Turned away over vague, arbitrary “vetting concerns.” FIFA immediately fell in line and kicked him off the tournament. A lifetime dream shattered by blatant profiling.

But look at Mogadishu today. Flags flying high, massive crowds filling the streets, and pure national pride. A hero’s welcome for a man who earned his spot on the world stage through pure merit.

This is the exact same America that constantly lectures the world on “fair play,” “diversity,” and a “rules-based order.” Yet, the moment world-class African excellence shows up at their border, the gates slam shut.

No transparency. No respect for official state documents. Just another masking of systemic bias while they preach corporate inclusion to the masses.

Somalia showed dignity and solidarity. The world witnessed the double standards. Talent has no borders—but Western gatekeeping certainly does.

BREAKING📷 A woman donated $1 million to Trump's super PAC. Three weeks later, her son a convicted tax criminal was pardoned. His pardon application literally mentioned her donation.
Her name is Elizabeth Fago. Her son, Paul Walczak, had pleaded guilty to federal tax crimes. The pardon application filed on his behalf explicitly cited his mother's million-dollar donation to MAGA Inc. as a reason he deserved clemency. Trump signed the pardon. Walczak walked free and was relieved of more than $4 million in restitution he owed.
That is one entry on a donor list of 58 people who gave a million dollars or more.
MAGA Inc., Trump's super PAC, has now raised over $305 million since the 2024 election five times more than any presidential super PAC in history at this stage. The Brennan Center called it "completely unprecedented." Ninety-six percent of it came from donors giving $1 million or more. Sixty-two percent from those giving $5 million or more. This is not a grassroots operation. It is a pay-window.
Here's what the donor list actually shows.

The Winklevoss twins gave $1 million — also while their crypto platform Gemini was under SEC investigation. That investigation was dropped in February 2025.
Energy Transfer, the Texas pipeline company, and its CEO Kelcy Warren gave a combined $25 million — while Energy Transfer was actively suing a federal regulatory agency in court.
OpenAI President Greg Brockman and his wife gave $25 million — as the Trump administration was actively shaping AI policy in Silicon Valley's favor.
Then there are the appointments. Benjamin Landa gave $5 million then became Trump's ambassador to Hungary. Kelly Loeffler and her husband gave $5 million she now runs the Small Business Administration. Warren Stephens gave $2 million now ambassador to the United Kingdom. Jared Isaacman gave $2 million now NASA administrator.
And Isabela Herrera, a 25-year-old self-employed financial consultant whose only prior political donation was $20 to Pete Buttigieg in 2020, somehow contributed $3.5 million to MAGA Inc. Her father a Venezuelan billionaire facing federal bribery charges was pardoned by Trump in January 2026. Campaign Legal Center has filed a formal complaint with the FEC alleging she was a straw donor for her father.
This is not dark money. This is public record.
Every dollar, every favor, every pardon. Filed with the FEC. Sitting in plain sight.

The Iranian navy, which has been destroyed eight times, has apparently closed the Strait of Hormuz again, because the United States, for the seventh time, won the war that wasn’t a war, so now the United States has to open the Strait of Hormuz that was already open before the not-war began.

The not-war began because Iran had uranium that was totally, completely, beautifully obliterated, so they can’t build the nuclear bomb they weren’t building, which is why the United States had to start the not-war it definitely didn’t start.

Now the United States, which has nuclear weapons, is threatening to use nuclear weapons to stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons, because nuclear weapons are far too dangerous for countries with nuclear weapons to allow other countries to have.

If the United States saw the United States doing what the United States does in other countries, the United States would invade the United States to liberate the United States from the tyranny of the United States.

Iran, now refusing to release its chokehold over the Strait of Hormuz and the global supply of oil, is demanding that the price of an agreement include an end to US backing for the Israeli-directed horror show in the Middle East.

Like a spoiled toddler, Trump is thrashing around – while cashing in on the volatility of the oil markets – trying to impose the old rules, when the terms of the confrontation are no longer under his exclusive control.

His latest tantrum – one cooked up in Tel Aviv as much as Washington – is that most Arab states, including Iran’s neighbours in the Gulf, be forced to sign the so-called Abraham Accords with Israel. This is being presented as the framework for a regional “peace deal” involving Iran. In truth, it is the very opposite.

The accords are designed to cement Israel’s status as the Middle East’s top dog, subordinating Arab states’ interests to Israel’s, and thereby isolating Iran in the region and leaving the Palestinian people and Lebanon to a genocidal Israel’s mercy.

This is another swindle, like Trump’s “Board of Peace”, which dresses up US and Israeli criminal aggression and genocide as peacemaking.

What the past 20 years of lies and misdirections have sought to hide is a simple fact: it is not Tehran that is led by unhinged, genocidal megalomaniacs threatening the security of the region and the world. It is Tel Aviv and Washington.

Since the pair launched their criminal war of aggression against Iran three months ago, Tehran has shown restraint, acted with caution, and displayed a willingness to negotiate in good faith.

Too bad there are no responsible adults on the other side with whom it can make a deal.

BREAKING: Elizabeth Warren humiliates RFK Jr. over Trump's insane lie that he's lowering prescription prices by 600% — a literal mathematical impossibility.

Finally, someone called them out on this BS!

"President Trump and the Republicans slashed health care for millions of families. The president pitched his TrumpRx website as the answer for Americans who are worried about health care costs," Senator Warren said during a hearing.

"He claims that TrumpRx has reduced prices by as much as 600%," she continued. "600%, which I think means companies should be paying you to take their drugs."

Trump has repeatedly touted absurd price reductions but as Warren pointed out, 600% is impossible. Even 100% would be untenable for these companies, because it would mean that they were giving the drugs away for free. If a drug costs $10 and you reduce it by 100%, it's now $0.

"But let's do some real math here," continued Warren. "Take one drug, Protonix, a 30-day supply of this heartburn medication, cost $200 on TrumpRx. But there is an identical generic version of this pill called Pantoprazole. Secretary Kennedy, do you know how much it costs for a 30-day supply of that drug at Costco?"

"But I would say this, Senator, President Trump has a different way of calculating," said RFK. "If— There's two ways of calculating percentage. If you have a $600 drug and you reduce it to $10, that's a 600% reduction."

Of course, Kennedy is dead wrong. If you drop $600 to $10 that would be a 98.33% reduction. You calculate based on the starting number, not on the reduced number working backwards. This is emblematic of the entire MAGA ethos: reject reality and use that rejection to claim some great achievement. Meanwhile, the rest of us still exist in the real world paying real prices.

"I understand, but you know I only have five minutes," Warren said, bulldozing over RFK's bunk math. "Do you know what the drug costs at Costco?"

"I do not," conceded Kennedy.

"The drug is $16 at Costco. TrumpRx charges $200 for Protonix and Costco charges $16," said Warren. "Let's do another one. Tikosyn is a treatment for heart arrhythmia. It costs $336 on TrumpRx or you can get the generic at Cost Plus Drugs for $12. So you tell me, Mr. Secretary, are patients better off paying $336 on TrumpRx or $12 at Cost Plus Drugs?"

This is exactly how you dismantle Trumpian lies. Drill through the misinformation, the propaganda, and the misdirection to get to the cold hard data. RFK and Trump can try all they want to mislead the American people, the numbers never lie.
