Pretending the debate is about whether £9.95 is “enough” while ignoring the full package of taxpayer-funded accommodation, food, laundry, clothing and the rest is dishonest.

Framing the problem as “we just need to let them work” dodges the fundamental issue: uncontrolled illegal entry and the costly asylum system that rewards it.
