Apr 13: Just learnt of an #LGBTQ @Refugees who committed suicide outside @UNHCR_Kenya offices this morng. Had protection concerns, but instead was chased away, & is said to have been physically harrassed by @PoliceKE & @G4S kenya prior, out of frustration, he ended his life

Today, Jan 26 marks 9 years since the murder of Ugandan Human Rights Activist, David Kato. He was attacked & killed for being Who he was 🏳‍🌈.. this followed after a local tabloid, mark-published him as a gay man. He was the 1st Ugandan to come out as a sexually diverse person.

On 7/11/19, LGBTIQ + Asylum seekers outside Refugee Affairs Secretariat ( RAS) offices, stranded after they were denied movement pass documents to go Kakuma Camp.
A group of LGBTIQ + asylum seekers continue to sleep outside RAS and UNHCR offices as they wait for intervention.

This Rwandan LGBT refugee, member of Angels Refugee Support Group, was brutally attacked this weekend because of his sexual orientation and was dumped unconscious outside of the Angels' office gate. 1/n
