@24thminute@TTChelps I'll point out that before 7 am you might be hard pressed to find better that 12 minute service in places like Paris or London,given the areas density. Given the soft roll out of Line 5, this is pretty good and hopefully expected to improve.
@TTChelps@SwanBoatSteve@oliviachow Thanks. But only useful if the TTC can keep to its schedules. It's very useful to actually see where your next ride is. This helps the public navigate through the mess of delays and make informed decisions about getting around. It's a hedge against increasing unreliability
@TTChelps@oliviachow There were no service disruption announcements made. Anything more than a 3 minute headway for a city our size during the day is nonsense. All the money spent in ATC for less frequent service is nonsense
@oliviachow@TTChelps
The Mayor and the TTC chair have some house explaining to do. The service decline during the day on the subway is unacceptable with 8 minute waits at times. And I'm speaking from experience as a TTC user.
It pains me to write this, but this post by Mayor Chow is simply not true. Either her spin doctors cannot read a budget, or she has been bamboozled by TTC's misleading use of "restoring" service. (1)
@TTChelps@oliviachow The Museum example is typical at between 3 and 3:30 pm. By the end of the week I was willing to drive DT and pay for parking in order to avoid the consternation. Obviously not sustainable both for the expense and for the environment
@TTChelps@oliviachow Last week at St Clair West at between 11:33 to 11:42 am on Feb 14. This Seems to be a regular occurrence on Wednesdays. And in terms of overcrowding, Monday February 12 was a typical example having to wait for 2 trains, each 5 minutes apart, in order to board NB at Museum
@ttchelps@SwanBoatSteve What's with this crappy 15 min service, which you can barely maintain as is, on 512? With the surplus of trams ATM, you think you could do better for the peeps and businesses dependent on this route. 2x in one week the lack of reliability has let me down
@JoshMatlow@cityoftoronto The conditions on Heathdale Rd have been appalling since the last snowfall. With this storm, things will be impassable. Already called 311 with no response. Can we get our sidewalk plows and salters back, please?!
There is now little doubt that SARS-CoV-2 is neurotrophic. It infects the brain: “neuroinflammation, microhemorrhages, brain hypoxia…including neuron degeneration and apoptosis [is] seen among animals that do not develop severe respiratory disease” https://t.co/GATm7WIwUn
@SwanBoatSteve@chrisjamesdrew 4408 coming back from its weld repairs and being tested before going back to service. Because I'm not in the area much, does any know if the Queen's Quay tunnel and Union station remain bi-modal, or have they switched to pans only?
