@hak5darren@Hak5 First-time customer and a fan of the gear and the community. Checkout created two orders. I tried to cancel the duplicate the same day.
I want to keep #426924. I do not want #426923 ($500.81). Support said it already shipped, so refuse / RTS is the only refund path. Hak5, Shop, and GOFO all show different statuses. GOFO now says Delivered. Looking at my door. No package. No delivery email. Two days of tickets and calls (33971).
I am not trying to use a product and send it back. I am trying to undo a checkout mix-up. The refuse-only electronics policy is the wall I keep hitting. If community matters, that policy should be unmistakable before pay — not after a last-mile carrier that is subpar is already scanning “delivered.”
Happy to stay a customer on the order I approved. I just need a human to close the one I didn’t.
Hak5 shipped me a $500 duplicate order I tried to cancel the same day. Their refund policy? Refuse delivery or lose your money. No returns after delivery. Period.
The kicker: they ship through a budget carrier with no drop-off locations and a chatbot for support. So refusing delivery means hoping a driver shows up while you’re home. If it lands at your door unattended, you’re stuck.
This isn’t a one-off. It’s their policy, buried in fine print while they market like a premium brand. If you order from them, know this before you click buy.
@Hak5
Miyuki. MiMi. My baby.
She was my everything. A sudden illness hit and I had to make the worst decision of my life — to let her go in peace instead of making her fight through more pain. It was devastating. It was also the last thing I could do for her that was actually for her.
I know she’s happy now. I know she’s with the other dogs who left me over the years. That thought is the only thing that lets me breathe.
It still sucks. That’s the deal with loving them this hard. You get all of them… and then you lose them.
Rest easy, MiMi. Daddy loves you.
