Have you heard about home-field advantage? It turns out microbes like the home environment, too, when it comes to decomposing litter (well, initially and then they get comfortable!)! New paper with colleagues from Northwest A&F University.

Oh wow, has anyone experienced this? A reputed journal from @WileyGlobal, @GlobalChangeBio, rejected our paper because the Editor could not find reviewers and blamed us (the subject editor could have assessed the paper before sending it out for reviewers, as many reputed journal editors do). This is new to me! I routinely have to send up to 20 invites to secure 3 quality reviews. The publication system needs a serious overhaul. Pay your reviewers!

@FlyTPA I like Delta, but the worst customer service award should go to @Delta folks @flytpa. They do not know that one can go to Schengen countries and many in Africa with a US passport. 😂
