AI-Focused Frontend Architect & Tech Lead | Modernizing Teams with React, TypeScript & AI Tools | DentaQuest (via PaigeTech) | Open to new remote/hybrid roles
Hey all,
Expect our first Developer Insight to land tomorrow morning (8AM Pacific). We'll be talking through the return of the Director, our recently announced Distortions activity for Destinations, and more.
TWID will be going live on Friday, after our second Developer Insights article focused on the Weapons Sandbox.
See you soon.
Woke up to over 220,000 verified signatures.
If we can push for another 30,000 today, that would be incredible. Keep sharing your videos, posts, clips, and thoughts.
It's important that we don't lose momentum, especially during the week.
And remember… get ready for June 9th.

I guess there's one thing left to do. Let's slam those servers on June 9 so PlayStation realises how big a mistake they made.
Even if it doesn't change their decision, I want them to KNOW they messed up.

🚨 Joshua David King, the voice of Oryx, The Taken King, shared a heartfelt message following the announcement of the end of live service for Destiny 2.
Woke up to see that we’ve now reached 176,000 verified signatures this morning. At this pace, we are going to hit 200,000 today.
The petition website has also detected that 15 articles have now been written about the movement.
Even if you’re not a content creator, post your videos, share your thoughts, and tag the right people. The goal is for Sony to see just how passionate and ready this community is for Destiny 3. Movements start small, but when enough people speak up together, it becomes impossible to ignore.

🚨NEW: Destiny 2 voice actor Brandon O’Neill, known for voicing Crow/Uldren Sov, has backed the sequel campaign & encouraged fans to use the "#WeWantDestiny3" hashtag in a new heartfelt message ahead of the game’s final update - https://t.co/q0PHzE0LTv
I thought AI would lead to worse code. I was wrong.
My code is better than ever because I'm more willing to refactor when AI does it for me.
I'm more likely to improve my code when I don't have to worry about how much work it requires.
I just sick the clanker on it.
If there’s anything the Destiny 2 community is proven to be good at, it’s making a lot of noise amongst ourselves. We’re pros at this point.
Now just look how loud we can be when we’re shouting together. The whole industry is beginning to hear.

I've seen (& signed) the petition going around. But I think the much more powerful response if you're hoping for some kind of future for the franchise is:
Log on the week of June 9th.
Dont' get me wrong, Sony execs aren't gonna fall to their knees in tears and insta-green-light D3 or anything. But seeing SO many players out there logging on to give one last hurrah to the franchise that meant so much to them - it'll speak volumes in its own way.
At the very least, we'll have one more window of fun enjoying the last batch of new content in a game that meant so much to us. At best, it'll show how passionate the community still is, and just how badly so many of us want SOME kind of future for this franchise, no matter how long it might take to build.
I'll see you out there in June. It's gonna be one hell of a ride.
“Product judgment has always been the hallmark of the best software engineers.” - this is brilliant @kentcdodds! I’m not confident AI will ever have it. It certainly isn’t helping software engineers who only do what the JIRA ticket says, rather than the right thing. There’s still room for growth when it comes to Product judgment. But those who have it are getting so much more from AI than those who don’t.
