@BenPopeCST Byram could be around for the next 8-10 years and you know what you're getting. Sounds like all of the draftable D-men were probably #2 D-men at best. Why not make the trade?

@DarrenDreger Why not announce the extension now? I would have thought that would be sewed up. Why rush the trade days before the draft without having that locked up. Can't have him walking a year from now.
