Even the Gquuux which was criticised for its unusual design at least still had clear colours that drew attention to stuff like it’s unique horns

My friend who doesn’t know Gundam said it was Gundam immediately because associates all humanoid mechs with that, yet as a fan I didn’t think it was Gundam until the title

@SeleAstraea The difference is that people were saying they weren’t Gundams because of their weird design, especially with Gquuux. Yet even in that case the Gquuux still kept a colourful design

This has a weird AI generated Gundam design but also turned the plot into not about human conflict

@ElliottReadings @AJustFate4Fools Yeah but if it’s a good action game then it’d be enjoyable regardless. Slapping “Gundam” on it adds nothing to that and tbh it feels like a game that wasn’t meant to be Gundam but had it tacked on later for better market reach

@Angellicnew What same game? We get fuck all actual Gundam games and when we do get ones people genuinely want like the Vs series, Bandai refuse to give it to us

There’s not even been many Gundam games with a good budget that cover existing series, let alone new AI looking slop

It’s like they were banned from changing Kratos though, so he’s the odd remnant of the series’ original identity

@cornukopiko @53gaDr3amca5t Mobile armour was one moment and just to show off the dangers of them for world building purposes and to flex how strong the new Rex was. Other than that they were mostly a piece of lore because the war politics and morality of man vs man is the priority
