My brother, you need to understand something. This power game is not what you expect or maybe what you're thinking. Now let me explain myself. The Northern hegemony held by the oligarchs would rather make a deal with Tinubu to finish his eight years and hand over peacefully to a Northerner like Atiku, rather than trust a Southerner like Peter Obi, who has already agreed to a single term. Let me tell you the sentiments that are backing up my claims. They do not believe that a politician in present-day Nigeria would just take one term, because they will not do it. Therefore, they don't trust anyone, especially not an Igbo man. So, I want to save you the frustration of trying to assuade the North. They will not listen to you. And when I mean the North, I mean the power brokers and oligarchs of the North, and those you might call the elite of the North. They do not like to make deals with the Southeast–whom they consider too intelligent to manage.
BASED ON 'STATUS QUO' TODAY, ARE NIGERIANS REALLY READY FOR 2027?
No. Not by a long shot.
The Supreme Court’s April 30, 2026 rulings on the PDP and ADC crises stand as damning proof:
Nigeria’s opposition remains trapped in self-inflicted paralysis; ego clashes, leadership vacuums, and courtroom theatrics that expose a political class more obsessed with power than purpose.
While citizens endure punishing inflation, naira volatility, fuel and food crises, and unrelenting insecurity, the so-called alternative spends its energy on factional wars instead of forging a credible challenge.
This is nothing short of recycled failure.
Any balanced observer will agree that President Tinubu did not invent the constitutional loopholes or the body polity weaknesses—he simply exploited them with ruthless clarity under the banner of “Emilokan” repackaged as "Renewed Hope".
Blaming him alone is a cowardly distraction. Nigerians enabled those gaps for decades through apathy, ethnic loyalty, and tolerance for mediocrity.
In an ideal situation, Nigerians should correctly demands that the ADC and coalition members avoid anything that will take it back to the legal circus, convene urgently, purge greed, and present a single, competent, nationalistic platform.
Half-measures will only guarantee, cracks in their ship, an eventual sink, and another defeat by an unpopular incumbent.
Did I hear someone from the back shout 'God forbid!?' Lol...God permits what we permit. Simple.
Public frustration is real, but too often it fuels tribal mobilisation and protest fantasies rather than disciplined civic pressure for institutional reform. Nigerians are not even sure of what to demand.
Trust in INEC, the judiciary, and politicians is in the gutter. Voter education is weak. The electorate still rewards “our turn” entitlement over competence and results.
Without a seismic shift toward genuine national unity, merit-based leadership, and zero-tolerance for corruption–as preached by Mr. Peter Obi, 2027 will deliver nothing more than fresh disappointment dressed in new slogans.
The window is closing fast. Nigerians must reject victimhood and embrace ruthless self-examination.
Readiness is not guaranteed, it must be earned through maturity, unity, and unyielding focus on Nigeria First. Anything less is national self-sabotage.
The time for excuses is over.

A CLEAR CONSCIENCE MAKES A SOFT PILLOW
During Babatunde Raji Fashola’s 2015 ministerial screening, he dropped a line that now reads like prophecy:
“May your loyalty not be tested.”
He explained that true loyalty in public service can demand taking a bullet for a cause or a principal. I thought I understood what he meant then but today, I have fully grasped how much chokehold Tinubu has on these men.
Today, that test is playing out in the most humiliating fashion. Chief Wale Edun – a highly respected technocrat, and long-time ally of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu – was unceremoniously dumped, in a so-called minor cabinet reshuffle, and even disgraced out of office.
While it would seem that Chief Edun has been humiliated, the real joke is on President Tinubu himself. If his own kitchen cabinet has to take this much heat, then it is safe to say that the kitchen is getting too hot for comfort.
It reveals a leader gasping for air, desperate to stay afloat amid mounting economic failures and political pressures. This is panic. And it is only a matter of time before another ally is discovered to be “disloyal” and shown the door. The forest they cultivated is getting thinner.
That’s how the cookie crumbles when loyalty is weaponised instead of rewarded, and competence is sacrificed at the altar of insecurity.
A warning to my Igbo brothers, especially those claiming that they want to “connect to the centre”: Do not be deceived by the optics of curated loyalty or the promise of proximity to power.
When even the most faithful and competent servants are publicly humiliated and discarded for no just cause, it is a glaring sign that the ship is taking in water. Blind allegiance or desperate alignment at this time will only leave you bruised, used, and refused.
Protect your conscience, guard your dignity, and never trade your integrity or the interest of your people for temporary favour that can evaporate overnight.
While history will not be kind to those who reward 'faithful service' with public humiliation, Wale Edun can sleep well tonight with a clear conscience.
The question is: can Tinubu do the same?

"When you sit to dine with a RULER, note well what is before you, and put a KNIFE to your throat if you are given to GLUTTONY, for that food is DECEPTIVE.”
– Proverbs 23:1-3
That scripture finally made profound sense to me, today as I listened to Jude Bela.
For decades, Nigeria has suffered because too many who approach power lack scruples, moral conviction, or the inner discipline to stay clean. They feast at the table of power without restraint, while the country bleeds.
“Nigeria’s Most Powerful Man Exposed,” Jude Bela’s recent hard-hitting exposé, made that scripture painfully relevant.
The podcast details how Lebanese-Nigerian billionaire Gilbert Chagoury became deeply entangled with the Abacha regime, and became what investigators described as the “gatekeeper to Abacha’s presidency.”
The same Chagoury was convicted in Switzerland in 2000 for money laundering tied to billions looted under Sani Abacha.
In 2004, Ribadu’s EFCC team waited on a tarmac in northeastern Nigeria to arrest Chagoury as his private jet landed, but a tip-off allowed him to flee.
Nuhu Ribadu was quoted to say:
“You couldn’t investigate corruption without looking at Chagoury.”
In January 2026, the same government that appointed Ribadu as National Security Adviser, conferred Chagoury the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON) — Nigeria’s second-highest national honour.
Today, in addition to the national honour, Chagoury’s companies dominate massive infrastructure contracts, including the Calabar coastal highway and major port rehabilitations.
So Nuhu, apart from being a member of APC–where all sins are forgiven if you join–what exactly changed?
Now, this is why I won't keep quiet about Peter Obi. Like other serious business leaders of that era, Obi had access to Abacha, but when invited to the ruler’s table, he took Proverbs 23 to heart.
He put the knife to his own throat. He refused the deceptive delicacies of easy compromise and unprincipled gain.
Today he walks free, untainted, his integrity the envy of many who once sat at similar tables but left compromised.
That is the quiet power of conviction.
Nigeria does not need more brilliant diners at the table of power. It needs more men and women courageous enough to push the plate away.

NA STATISTICS WE WANT CHOP NOW
Nigeria is declining because our leaders have made thinking look like insult.
Numbers don’t lie–they actually make things clearer. But the “master strategist” doesn’t think data is important.
During the presidential campaign in 2022, Tinubu joked, “Na statistics we go chop?” He dismissed numbers, data, evidence.
A leader who rejects statistics is a leader coming to power to lie to us.
In a recent interview on Naija Unfiltered podcast, Peter Obi dropped statistical data on Agriculture from memory like a professor:
Netherlands (41,000 sq km) exports $129 billion yearly in farm produce — over four times Nigeria’s entire 2025 oil earnings.
Niger State alone is twice that size yet lies fallow because of bandits.
Borno’s Sambisa Forest is three times Israel’s land — Israel feeds itself; ours is terror territory.
If Tinubu who said “Na statistics we go chop” is handed a paper containing those statistics Peter Obi reeled out off-head, Tinubu may not be able to read them out clearly, talk more of remembering them.
As Obi spoke, he was fact-checked: 95 - 97% accuracy.
Even the Comments section exploded–over 220 comments, more than 180 positive responses, for Obi.
Someone declared: “I AM A YORUBA MAN. OBI HAS BEEN MY PRESIDENT SINCE INCEPTION AND WILL STILL BE COME 2027.”
Another compared Nigeria to Brazil – the world’s second-largest cocoa exporter – same climate as Nigeria.
“We are so blessed, we have no business being poor as a nation.”
That’s not random noise. It’s a sample. Extrapolate it: Nigerians are screaming for a thinking leader.
Na statistics we want chop now. Real figures. Real plans. Real results. Peter Obi is serving it raw. The rest na just noise.

Why is this VIDEO not trending?
Tinubu's government, through the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), hired 6 SANs to defend the case requesting them to release details of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway contract, which was awarded to Chagoury’s Hitech!

12 SOLID REASONS WHY MAHAMA IS RIGHT
Ghana’s President John Mahama, is right and quite benevolent to pray daily for Nigeria to “get its act together.” His words weren’t an insult, they were a pragmatic, brotherly warning rooted in regional reality.
1. Regional Ripple Effects:
Nigeria’s 250+ million people dwarf Ghana’s population. If economic collapse or chaos deepens here, waves of desperate migrants could overwhelm smaller neighbors like Ghana — exactly what Mahama fears.
2. Leaders Don’t Trust Their Own System:
From Buhari’s 200+ days of medical tourism abroad to Tinubu’s frequent trips (often framed as “working visits” or check-ups in France/UK), our presidents consistently seek healthcare and comfort outside Nigeria. If the No. 1 citizen won’t rely on local hospitals, why should citizens?
3. Even Domestic Visits Expose the Failure:
During his recent Plateau State visit after deadly attacks, President Tinubu reportedly stayed briefly at the airport, citing no reliable power and limited airport facilities before leaving quickly. If the president can’t comfortably operate inside Nigeria, ordinary people feel the pain daily.
4. Chronic Power Crisis:
Nigerians endure constant blackouts while the power sector battles massive debts, grid collapses, and liquidity issues. A country with vast energy resources still can’t keep the lights on reliably — a daily humiliation that drives businesses and talent away.
5. Insecurity Everywhere:
Banditry, terrorism, kidnapping, and farmer-herder clashes make large parts of the country unsafe. Citizens live in fear; investors flee. A stable Nigeria would reduce this regional spillover.
6. Broken Infrastructure:
Many airports lack basic night-landing aids or reliable power. Roads, hospitals, and public services remain substandard. We market tourist sites abroad while leaders avoid using them themselves — pure hypocrisy.
7. “Anywhere but Nigeria” Mentality:
Open conversations on social media reveal Nigerians saying they’d rather go anywhere else. Some even risk dangerous irregular migration or “modern slavery” routes just to escape. That level of desperation speaks volumes.
8. Economic Hardship Fuels Migration:
High unemployment, inflation, poverty, and limited opportunities push the youth out. When home offers no future, “Japa” becomes the only rational choice for survival and dignity.
9. Massive Brain Drain (Japa Syndrome):
“Japa” — a Nigerian-coined word now recognized globally — describes the relentless exodus. Over 70% of young Nigerians have considered leaving, with millions already gone, including thousands of doctors, nurses, lecturers, and engineers. Nigeria is hemorrhaging its best minds.
10. “Nigeria Has Happened to Me”:
This painful cliché captures how the country breaks dreams, health, and hope. Talented citizens leave and rarely return because the system offers no path to thrive.
11. Hypocrisy in Nation-Building Talk:
Leaders preach resilience, patriotism, and tourism promotion, yet their actions–fleeing for medical care or short, uncomfortable local trips–scream lack of confidence in the very system they control.
12. A Thriving Nigeria Lifts West Africa:
Mahama said it plainly: “If Nigeria does well, Ghana does well.” A stable, prosperous giant benefits the entire region through trade, security, and shared progress. A struggling one exports problems.
Mahama wasn’t denigrating Nigeria–he was speaking truth as a neighbor who wants his “cousins” to succeed so the whole family isn’t dragged down. Delusion won’t fix this. Honest reckoning and urgent action by leaders and citizens will.
Nigerians deserve better than mere survival. It’s time to stop running and start demanding, and building a country worth staying for.
