Some Republicans are doubling over how Jews “dared” to vote overwhelmingly Democratic, since Trump “gave Israel” so much.
Whether that’s true or not is not the point we are discussing.
But the concept embedded in the minds of these people is that Jews are an “other,” who automatically vote in the interests of a foreign country. They cannot believe that the contrary is true, as we’ve seen once again.
American Jews have always voted for what they believe is in the best interest of our great country. We can all respectfully disagree on policies. You can believe they’re counterproductive to the economy, but the conversation should remain within the realm of domestic issues. And for American Jews, the evidence shows that it does.
We can clearly see, once again, that many who vociferously support Israel also harbor profoundly antisemitic perceptions of Jews as not “belonging in the US.” This is why they support Israel’s audacious and dangerous claim of being the political “nation-state” of all Jews.
Like we’ve always said, supporting Zionism is not an act of love for Jews. Many times, it’s a reflection of the exact opposite.
Jews lived in the Holy Land for centuries prior to Israel's creation. They did not seek to gain sovereignty, subjugate but merely wished to live in dignified peace with their Muslim neighbors.
And they did.
"No one in the yeshiva ever told me it was dangerous to go by myself among the Arabs. We just lived with them, and got along very well."
Words of Rabbi Boruch Kaplan a Yeshiva student before the horrific Hebron massacre detailing how Zionist antagonized local and previously peaceful communities with their radical ideas.
In short, Jews and Muslims were not enemies like Israeli leaders enjoy depicting. But Zionists "need" us to be enemies for Zionism to survive and thrive.
They will weaponize antisemitism, distort our sacred religion, and exploit Jewish identity to get their nationalistic agendas promoted in our name.
I believe in a world where a Palestinian child and a Jewish Israeli child growing up in the Holy Land can look forward at their life and believe it is not going to be curtailed by somebody's violence.
@AmmiHirsch@FranklinFoer Publicly desecrating our sacred Shabbos to warn that “American Jews are in danger” because support for a foreign country is dwindling is quite the irony.
Apparently, defending Israel and exploiting Jewish identity cannot wait until after Shabbos.

We in the Jewish community need to be honest with ourselves: we have entered a new political era. As my friend @FranklinFoer has said, the "Golden Age of American Jews is Ending."

Good morning, America.
We’ve been crying ourselves hoarse that the vast majority of American Jews oppose Zionism, only to be met with skepticism and outright denigration by many “activists.”
Well, the truth does prevail.

🚨 Zohran Mamdani is way more popular than Benjamin Netanyahu among Jewish voters — a 29-point gap ⬇️
J Street-sponsored exit poll conducted by GBAO Strategies:
Mamdani 49% favorable / 43% unfavorable
Netanyahu 20% favorable / 72% unfavorable
@GoldsteinBrooke You seem pretty invested in Israel. Well, unlike you, many of us American Jews vote based on domestic issues and do not view a foreign country as the representative of the Jewish people.
There appears to be a concerted effort by Zionist accounts, or rather bots, to flood Twitter with identical messages about Jews “needing to flee” and “not being safe.”
Poor propaganda tactics at play.
Is there anything more pathetic than people who act like Jews are not safe in America because, for the first time in history, there is one Muslim Senator? What a bunch of pathetic crybabies. Try living in Gaza for one day.
