Peterson claimed dairy farming is “the largest holocaust in history.” John Martin of Caprino Farm in Perth cut her off: “You’ve never been to my place.” When she asked how he knew, he told her that if she had, she’d realise she was talking a load of s***.

He explained he doesn’t use artificial insemination, the bucks run with the herd when the does are in season, the kids stay with their mothers, and he only takes the excess milk. The audience laughed. Her claims didn’t survive contact with actual farming.

Peterson has continued high-profile protests and later lost a major defamation case that led to bankruptcy proceedings. Martin is still running his farm.
