Congratulations to Benjámin Barti, the first author of the study and a Semmelweis University's Doctoral College student, whose wonderful artistic depiction was selected by the editors for the cover of @ScienceAdvances. Keep it up @katonalab, wonderful work!
Great news! You can now browse the #500KGenomes summary statistics for all UK Biobank participants free of charge using our Allele Frequency Browser. The browser was launched on behalf of the Whole Genome Sequencing consortium.

Huge congratulations to our colleague dr. @YMilaneschi who has been awarded a well-deserved starter #grant from @amsterdamumc for his research project ‘Immuno-Metabolic #Depression: from populations to cells’ https://t.co/2li3ZvJ0Bm
A ⏲️reminder - Europe put its clocks back this Sunday, and North America next Sunday.
For this week only: the London - NYC time difference is 4 hours, not 5 hours.
📢 Today we launch the @PGCGenomics Video Textbook!
A structured training program in psychiatric genetics, analysis methods and software tools.
Open access, do share widely. #WCPG2023

We cannot imagine a better way to end Day 1 of #WCPG2023 than with our first plenary session—a panel discussion exploring the complex interplay between lived experience of psychiatric illness and the study of psychiatric conditions.
Please join us!

The WCPG is one day away! We're looking forward to highlighting the personal aspect of our field and the scientific with this year's theme: Putting People First in Psychiatric Genetics.
Welcome to Montreal if you've already arrived! Safe travels to those in transit!

Take-home message of @dr_appie's talk at #GBD23 for our research: We as a society make genetic effects stronger, giving individuals a double advantage or double disadvantage. This inequality is increasing over time.
I feel like I need to be reminded of this more often.
