After almost seven years at this club, it’s hard to put into words what this moment means to me.

I arrived at this club when I was 18 years old. Far from home, barely speaking the language, trying to adapt to a completely new culture, new life and chasing a dream that felt so big at the time.

I didn’t know exactly what the future would hold, but I knew I wanted to give everything for this club.

We didn’t just build a team, we built a family, an identity, and something the fans could believe in again. To see this club back where it belongs is one of the proudest moments of my career.

I want to thank my family, thank everyone at the club, the staff, my teammates, and every person working behind the scenes. Most importantly, thank you to the fans. Your support, patience and love throughout these years never went unnoticed. You stayed with us through the difficult moments, and this title belongs to you as much as anyone.

We have had holidays in different parts of the world, but none made my kids happier than coming to Nigeria.They were so excited. They came when they were much younger. I was bombarded with questions as the time drew near. They had never been that excited.

They felt at home at Abuja.
There was electricity, there are roads, there are basic amenities.
They saw their own kind and did not have to fit in.
They asked me if they could come for Christmas as their cousins told them of how fun it could be.

ABIA

It was all good in Abuja till we came to Abia.
There was no road to their village.
There was no electricity.The residents complained that they had not seen electricity in over 2 years. Just 10 minutes away from Governor Alex Otti's place.
There was no pipe-borne water.
The primary school in our village does not befit where a goat could be kept, same as our secondary school and most schools we saw. Governor Otti has spent about N120bn rebuilding those schools according financial reports published by his government.

The people looked hungry and hopeless.

Okpuala-Ngwa General Hospital remains a forest.

The LGA Headquarters is barely accessible as it looked like an old grave yard with a massive river ponding in front of the gate. It has earned about N20bn since Governor Otti came to power.

There was no evidence of government in Isiala-Ngwa North.

Okpuala-Ngwa, our LGA looked worse than when I left 18 years ago.

I was so ashamed to tell them that we have an LGA Government or a State Government.

We traveled to visit their maternal grandparents at Isiala-Ngwa South, 5minutes away from Omoba, the capital of Isiala-Ngwa South. Things got worse as our vehicle got stuck just after the LGA Headquarters at Omoba, just along the fence of the LGA HQ.

My wife could not recognise her father's compound where she grew up. Just like mine, the road is now a bush path.

Her villagers had not seen electricity in 2 years as well.

We went to Umunkpeyi Nvosi to visit my relations, we had to go to Eketa to use the road Otti built to his residence. The villagers there complained that they had not seen electricity since March last year.

Yet, Governor Alex C. Otti has built a new Abia on the pages of the media.

He has given Abians 24/7 electricity on the pages of the media.

I hope Abia politicians realise the harm they are doing to their own people.

Many thought that we were out of the woods after Ikpeazu, they forgot that I warned them in 2023 about Governof Otti.

Abia has developed on the pages of the media, while the majority of the people are living in subhuman conditions.

Tinubu: health is wealth.

I can't help but be super excited by the news coming from FEC, Federal Executive Council, yesterday over President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s approval for the construction, upgrade as well as equipping of various centres, departments, clinics and offices at the National Hospital Abuja. The NH built during the military era was quite a befitting centre for Nigerians seeking medical attention in the nation's capital back then, but sadly, has not gotten much attention in terms of development, expansion and equipping. It gradually became a shadow of itself. Staff accomodation too has dwindled as provisions are unable to cater for vital and emergency personnel that would be on call 24-7. More than twenty years after, it is getting the much needed financing to reposition it as one of Nigeria's premier health institutions. The FG is investing over half a trillion naira in the NH from its subsidy savings to make tangible the promises of Mr. President's Renewed Hope Health Agenda. This is operationalised through the Nigeria Health Sector Renewal Investment Initiative, NHSRII; led by the ministry of health and social welfare, headed by Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate.

A flagship National Institute for Cancer Research and Treatment Centre will be developed at a cost of N302.3 billion. This is specific to developing cancer research, treatment, innovation, and capacity building. This will give birth to a national institute christened NICRAT, National Institute for Cancer Research and Treatment. The design, construction, furnishing, equipping, supervision, and commissioning of the centre have all been approved by FEC, with a completion period of 36 months. A Neuroscience Institute is also to be constructed at the NH, at a cost of N69 billion. Prof. Pate announced that the Institute would provide dedicated infrastructure for neurosurgical, radiological, interventional, and rehabilitative services required by patients suffering from strokes, brain tumors, and other conditions affecting the brain and nervous system. Other developments include the construction of a new administrative and management block in the NH at a cost of N18.74 billion. The NH is also going to get new modular clinics, and theatres for the different medical specialities at a cost of N64.92 billion. Another aspect of the huge developmental projects at the NH is the construction of a high end wing at a cost of N103 billion with a completion period of 24 months, as announced by Prof. Pate.

Why am I genuinely excited about this? On the 5th of July, 2026, a little over a month ago, I was in Bauchi to witness the commissioning of a state of the art Radiology Diagnostics and Clinical Trials Centre at the ATBUTH, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital worth billions of naira. This was done alongside the distribution of emergency obstetrics and newborncare equipment, commodities, and delivery kits worth N10 billion by Prof. Pate. At the event, the minister stressed the FG's desire to strengthen clinical research, innovation and evidence based healthcare development in Nigeria. "The centre is important for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, inline with the FG's commitment to the efficient delivery of healthcare services across the country. So I can confirm that these developments are not "audio" developments. They are indeed very tangible healthcare assets being built across the country. Prof. Pate has delivered similar world class cancer treatment centres across the country so the National Hospital projects would certainly be delivered promptly. You can be guaranteed a better, repositioned and medically equipped National Hospital within 24 months. Such projects ofcourse are a source of joy for every well meaning Nigerian but it also gives me great pleasure that a son of Bauchi is championing these projects across the country. Thank you Prof for making us proud.

Release - Cement FCCPC Establishes Possible Price Manipulation

Tuesday, August 18, 2026: Findings from an industry-wide investigation conducted by the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) suggest possible manipulation of prices of cement in the Nigerian market.

This is the preliminary summation of the 40-page field reports collated following a three-month cross-border study by the Anticompetitive Practices Department (ACP) of the Commission, undertaken in response to widespread public complaints over the high cost of cement, a common staple in the country's construction industry.

Concerns were raised over the comparatively high retail price of cement in Nigeria compared with other markets, despite the country's substantial limestone deposits, significant domestic production capacity and reported surplus installed capacity relative to domestic consumption.

Significantly, all the major cement manufacturers in the country cooperated with the Commission by making their records available except one of them.

Publicly available estimates indicate that three major undertakings account for more than 90 percent of installed production capacity in the country.

The ACP investigations extended to markets in Sub-Saharan Africa like Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa as well as Egypt, Morocco and Algeria.

Metrics adopted included the availability of limestone, the basic raw material for cement production, as well as other variables such as population, production capacity and consumption.

In Kenya, for instance, the 58.6 million population (76% lower than Nigeria’s) has domestic cement demand of approximately 9.3m MTPA (metric tonne per annum) in 2025. Retail price in Nairobi is $5.40 (N7,344). Kenya is endowed with limestone.

In Tanzania, with population of 66.3m (72% lower than Nigeria’s) and the domestic cement demand is 9.3m MTPA (2025), a bag of cement sells for $4.80 (N6,528).

In Togo, a bag sells for $6.75 (N9,180). Significantly, Togo does not have limestone deposit.

Comparatively, in Nigeria, market intelligence reviewed by the Commission shows that the retail price of a 50kg bag of cement rose significantly during the first half of 2026.

A bag reportedly selling for between N9,300 and N9,700 in January was selling for between N10,500 and N13,000 by mid-year. By July, prices of between N13,000 and N15,000 were reported in some parts of the country.

The Commission's survey indicates that Nigeria has installed cement production capacity of more than 60 to 65 million metric tonnes annually, while estimated domestic consumption is approximately 25 to 30 million metric tonnes. Nigeria is also a net exporter of cement to neighbouring markets.

Of particular concern to the Commission is that this level of production capacity has not resulted in the downward pressure on domestic prices that might ordinarily be expected in a competitive market with substantial excess capacity.

Information provided by industry participants has identified energy costs, depreciation of the Naira and its effect on imported machinery and spare parts, as well as transportation and logistics costs, among the factors contributing to cement prices. The Commission is testing these explanations against verified information on costs, production, pricing and market conditions.

However, the weight of preliminary findings provides sufficient grounds for the investigation to continue.

Next is to determine whether prevailing cement prices can be explained by legitimate costs and market conditions, or whether there is evidence of coordinated conduct, abuse of market power, restriction of domestic supply, anti-competitive distribution practices or other conduct contrary to the provisions of the FCCPA.

Accordingly, the FCCPC has issued Notices of Commencement of Investigation and Summons to Produce to the key players in the sector...

.... APC BEYOND THE BANTERS...

Did you see how APC supporters kicked into reality almost immediately they lost just one election they keenly contested in Osun State? They didn't blame the Referee, they didn't blame the ruling figure they contested against in Osun.....They prepared to win the election, everything was set, the situation room didn't have a mindset of a low life, it was set up for a winning party....
Yet, they had reality allowance to absorb the pain of defeat in this game of politics....

Like President Tinubu clearly stated in 2023: "Those who cannot endure and accept the pain of defeat in elections do not deserve the joy of victory when it is their turn to triumph"

Every analysis made so far about Osun election is within the progressive context and premise of sustainable party platform , it's not out of fear or disdain.

It's good that every issue in election is pointed out based on its peculiarity and by extension how it affects the whole body (APC) as a party.

Despite the challenges and the noise against APC under PBAT that's pushing Nigeria through necessary rebirth, I don't think APC is doing badly, it's just that Osun election looked like obvious win deliberately lost from within because of personal greed of leaders and Osun is the clear example of such...

Since President Tinubu's tenure in 2023 started, APC came 2nd in Anambra Gov election in the South East, others making noise of taking over came a distance 3rd and 4th...That's a huge statement.

APC cleared Ekiti as incumbent without any doubt....That's a statement of holding down the base.

APC won Edo State Governorship election, taking over from Obaseki and PDP...That's a huge statement beyond Social Media narratives that politics is LOCAL, not grammar 🤣🤣

APC in other by-elections across the Country exposed the reality that we don't have viable and sensible opposition, we only have greedy and self serving opposition leaders who just want to be on the ballot, they care less about the National conscience called Nigeria and the sacrifice it needs from opposition....They want it individually by all means.

This Osun election was as good as predictable and the outcome still showed great feat which could have been far better if other little things pointed out were attended to without the arrogance of local APC leaders in Osun to be specific.....

I watched one day when someone after APC primaries was saying "it is only Abuja list that can determine who really is the authentic candidate in the primaries"....Not what he said really, but the tone, the body language of "if you don't like our decision, get da F"......🥺🥺
Always arrogant while speaking to people even within....

But in it all, pulling over 400K which made it close to 50% of a keenly contested election against an incumbent Adeleke (who came from APC to join PDP then Accord since he was blocked from returning to APC and very close to all APC Govs and President someone in terms of relationship) is not a rejection, that's a good statement that shows "if not for costly assumption of little dangers", things are clearly cruising for APC.....

Once in a while and for the good of even APC supporters, this kind of defeat that deflate the inherent incurable ego of APC somehow keeps helping APC to rejig itself and reset its brain before it finally falls overboard.....

If APC rejection is pulling 47% of Osun election where they didn't win 4 years ago and it's seen as being "rejected", then the main opposition to APC pulling less than INVALID VOTE while the other online opposition party got zero degree celcius in the same election just 6 month to the general election, that should be seen as a free ride for APC as we approach 2027 election....

By the way, before the Bangladesh opposition could savor the win they didn't participate in, the winner already declared his unwavering support POLITICALLY for President Tinubu again in 2027 election 🤣🤣🤣
