@westislandeuro@_LewisLFC You're probably talking to one of his biggest disdainers. I'll clarify this once though so that it doesn't need to be again: Good player, but SEVERELY overhyped in the English media. Built up to be the best of his generation by the likes of Neville, when he's a luxury player.
Brighton's average transfer window:
1 South American and 1 African wonderkid we've never heard of, unless you're knowledgeable abt global youth scouting.
1 Bundesliga player that sneaks under the radar as a good prospect.
1 young star we all raved abt 2 years ago.
1 PL unc.

@BoehlyBanterEra@Marrirez@TheSecretScout_ Yep. Pretty much. Like I don't get why some people don't like it when you say X isn't better than Y at youth level. Like not every youth player is going to be the next Messi and it's ok to say it as it is.
@Marrirez What is bad about saying "yeah don't overhype a youth player for their own sake"? I do not think he's better than Dowman having actually watched both. What part of my comments appeared assumptive to you?
@EmiratesEra_AFC I think he'll become vice. I don't see him getting it over Saka if Mikel is choosing. The emotions around Bukayo and all will probably see him be the new captain, but we'll see. If Mikel runs an election again for captaincy after Martin goes, Dec might be favourite.
I still think Arsenal want to get Eze LW minutes. Thinking back to the City game in April on that. Γ has just been so injury prone this season and Tross had a good last month, so we didn't get to see it. Signing Rogers might change that for the better.
@EmiratesEra_AFC It's not out of the question. If a good offer comes in, the club might bite. I still think he stays one more year, though and goes in summer 2027. Unless Nwaneri has a great pre-season, Arteta probably won't want the captain to go.
I'm also defining needle movers as players that would get Spurs to a position that their fans would be satisfied with in the current climate of the PL. And that's not CL. They are not better/cannot have loftier ambitions than the other big 6 teams. Probably also Aston Villa atm.
My 2 cents on the moves Spurs are making. All the players I see linked to them are pretty good. Should get them away from the relegation picture. But none of them are needle movers. JPVH would be if he actually enjoyed defending and was more switched on, but he doesn't.
Ftr the players in question I'm talking about are Robertson, Van Hecke, Senesi and Savinho.
Just in case this post ends up being a bit dated by the end of the window.
Good engine, natural drive forward with the ball and wonderful use of his frame. And of course solid technical foundations. This is a good talent. And great to see Arsenal dabbling in the French market again.
π¨ Arsenalβs search for an up and coming left back lands at #PSG Emmanuel Mbemba. They have been searching for the last 18 months, watching him play at LCB and LB. However scouts believe he will become a top left back. More with @HandofArsenal#AFC π΄
