I just don’t know what more was needed for people to be convinced on Ange. People will say it’s not finishing 17th. But finishing 17th didn’t expose Ange. It exposed the board’s refusal to back up a manager with a competitive squad rather than just a competitive starting 11.
By now Ange would have revolutionised the club. We would have players who bleed for the club and fit his tactics.
We would be sitting on top of the Premier League table, about to win our first PL title in the clubs history. For the first time in decades we’d be playing football that embodies our motto: “TO DARE IS TO DO”
But no Daniel Levy did not dare to do and chose Thomas Frank. Now we reap what we sowed.
Always liked Pape Sarr. Won the ball back & assisted our most important goal of the last 20 years.
Our fans lost him in their weird obsession with Bergvall & Gray. Sarr is significantly better than both that’s why every manager picked him.
Good luck Pape 🫡
