Am not saying Kajiado county cannot manage any protected area. But by handing over Amboseli National Park it's the end of the park. It's a delicate park and needs KWS to survive. Mara is a mess as we speak, grazing, littering, and lack of proper infrastructure. @Min_TourismKE

Isiolo International Airport

A beautiful Airport under the Vision 2030 strategy including Lapsset.

Now that this facility is up and ready we should make it work .

1. The export of Miraa to Somalia should be moved from Wilson that is congested to Isiolo. Nyambene hills that grow the twig is visible from the airport so why rush miraa to Nbi. Kenyans will also be spared the dangers of those speeding dare devil land cruisers.

2. Timau and entire good part of Nyanyuki is now growing flowers and vegetables for the export market. Why truck the consignment to a busy JKIA while the same can be lifted out of Isiolo but cold storage is key.

3. Passenger flights , Nbi. Isiolo.Moyale. will work very well . Incentivise airlines to land here. Fly Jambojet

4. Tourists. Landing in small caravans across Samburu. Buffaloe springs , Shaba while it has its own charm its not cheap due to aircraft capacity. Incentivise airlines to deploy bigger aircrafts and the cost of air ticket will then drop by more than 40% to 50% which means more numbers into the lodges and camps in both Isiolo and Samburu County and even Meru and Maua.

5. Flying school. Isiolo Airport can make an excellent base for a flying school instead of fighting for space at already crowded Wilson.

6. Dry cargo similar to Eldoret and Isiolo would also do well to handle such cargo.

Well I am also well aware that the runway is not the ideal length for bigger aircrafts but should be fixed since the facility is already up and looking good.
