Figure skating is innovative in many ways, a key example being choreographers and coaches somehow finding covers of songs that make the original 20x worse with little effort and then deciding it would be perfect for a program and subjecting me to it.

I think one of the saddest things about modern childhood is the loss of cartoons as inheritance. I grew up watching Scooby-Doo reruns decades after it first aired. Kids today have more content than ever, but perhaps less shared cultural inheritance across generations.
