Happy Friday everyone!❤️🫶🏽
Sometimes people will use you just to wake you up.
Sometimes they will hurt you so you can finally start focusing on yourself.
Sometimes they will use you because they want to see if you still stupid.
Sometimes they will disappoint you because you keep ignoring the red flags.
Sometimes they will take advantage of your kindness because you never learned to say "no."
Sometimes they will use your heart, your time, your money, and your love because you keep giving without boundaries.
Sometimes they will sleep with you, not because they love you, but because you keep making yourself available.
Sometimes the lesson is not about them. It's about you.
It's about waking up. It's about seeing your worth. It's about setting boundaries. It's about choosing yourself.
Not everyone who enters your life comes to stay. Some people come to teach you a lesson you refused to learn any other way.
The pain was not sent to destroy you. The pain came to open your eyes.
Wake up. Love yourself. Protect yourself. Choose yourself.

A staff member at North-West University, Thandile Tonisi, has come forward alleging bullying and a toxic working environment, saying the situation has affected her wellbeing and ability to work. She is now seeking assistance and calling for intervention to address the challenges she says she has endured in the workplace.

1.) Some ancestors will speak through sickness when all other signs have been ignored. You may go from doctor to doctor, do tests, scans, and treatments, yet no clear answer comes. Not every sickness is spiritual, but there are times when the ancestors use discomfort to get your attention. Before they elevate you, they must first awaken you.
2.) Do not easily separate your children from their grandparents. Yes, there are harmful elders in some families, and wisdom is needed. But remember that some grandparents carry blessings, wisdom, family history, and spiritual keys connected to the destiny of their grandchildren. The roots of a tree help the branches to grow strong.
3.) Many people say, "Leave the dead alone." But those who walk a spiritual path know that the ancestors have their own ways of making themselves known. When they call, they do not ask for permission from society. They will speak through dreams, visions, signs, and circumstances until their message is heard.
4.) Be careful of the choices you make in this life. Not everything that looks good is good for your spirit. Some actions may bring temporary pleasure but create long-term spiritual consequences. Protect your soul as much as you protect your body.
5.) When the ancestors reveal beads to you, do not rush. Pray, phahla, and seek proper guidance. Cleanse and prepare them correctly. Beads are not merely decorations; they are sacred symbols of identity, protection, and spiritual connection. Just as a uniform identifies a person in their profession, beads identify you within the spiritual realm and among your ancestors.
6.) There are things that your ancestors will remove from your life for a reason. When doors close, relationships end, businesses collapse, or certain possessions are lost, first seek understanding before rushing to restore them. Not everything that leaves is meant to return. Sometimes destruction is protection.
7.) Never underestimate water. Water carries memory, prayer, cleansing, healing, and communication. Our ancestors understood the power of rivers, streams, oceans, and rain long before modern teachings. Water is one of the greatest spiritual messengers given to us by the Creator.
8.) When a healer — whether a Sangoma, Medium, Igqirha, Inyanga, or other traditional practitioner — gives you instructions, listen carefully. A true healer does not speak from personal opinion alone. Often they are delivering a message that your ancestors have already been trying to communicate to you.
9.) Always approach the spiritual realm with humility. Pride has no place before the ancestors. Speak with respect, patience, and sincerity. Spirits observe character more than words. The way you carry yourself matters as much as the prayers you pray.
10.) I always say this: if an ancestor keeps appearing around your child, pay attention. Many people claim that ancestors do not want children to succeed at school. That is not true. Our ancestors value knowledge because many of them were denied opportunities that we have today. They want children to learn, grow, and become better than the generations before them. Education is not the enemy of tradition; wisdom and education can walk hand in hand.
Remember: The ancestors do not always shout. Sometimes they whisper through dreams, sickness, repeated signs, water, elders, children, and unexpected events. Those who learn to listen will understand that the spiritual path is not about fear—it is about respect, discipline, humility, and maintaining a sacred connection with those who came before us.
