Man, where were all these posts of pity for the tens of thousands of service members kicked out over COVID?

Especially the E4 and below. The ones you can boot out of the military in just a couple of weeks. With spouses and kids.

Refuse jab, booted 14 days later, on the street.

No golden parachute, no pension, likely no savings. Just….bye. Some living in their cars.

That’s the problem with society. We have our heroes all twisted. We lionize racist ideologues pushing nonsense in the media and demand sympathy for them. But we don’t give AF about the expendable soldier who stood on business at the cost of everything.

Or the war department leaders who are trying to piece it back together again and make it right, all while being blocked at EACH AND EVERY TURN by bureaucratic nonsense.

Where’s the outrage over that? Where’s the focus on that injustice?

A laid off journalist will likely land on their feet spewing partisan vitriol at another paper. A service member booted out over COVID just gets homeless. And oh by the way, they’re unemployable due to their “other than honorable” discharge or whatever.

Ironic, a journalist who can spew lies buying ink by the barrel can land on their feet, but a simple soldier standing on principle gets permanently ruined.

Stunning, really. And indicative of how far we’ve fallen as a society.
