We appreciate the upward review of the Ekiti State Scholarship Scheme by His Excellency, @biodunaoyebanji. This thoughtful intervention will greatly support students and strengthen access to quality education across the state.
Currently, it is stated as the Ekiti State is second lowest number of out-of-school children in the country.
The state government had to embark on many other interventions and strategies to get the children to school and retain them for completion. The indigenous vulnerable children are supported.
We have paid a sum of $6,154 million 879,879 as UBEC Counterpart Fund, which has greatly assisted massive innovation in public secondary schools. This is in addition to the massive constructions for rehabilitation and renovation going on in all these for the secondary schools.
We are deploying diverse strategies to improve access to education and learning outcomes. Beyond the pool of the free education program and the expected effect of the compulsion aspect.

To every Ekiti girl, hear this loud and clear: never allow shame or stigma to dim your light. You are strong, you are capable, and your future is bright!
My heartfelt gratitude goes to our compassionate Governor, His Excellency Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, ably represented by the Deputy Governor, Chief Monisade Afuye, and other distinguished personalities who honoured this programme with their presence.
Together, let us build a society where no girl is left behind simply because of her period.
