It will easily take 3-7 years to revise and stabilize the design around new engines. The time taken will depend on what the issue is, with mass flow rate mismatch being the biggest hurdle, IMO.

Swapping engines don't work based on thrust rating or TWR
Even size is secondary as long as the difference is not too massive.
Mass flow rate and weight distribution are the physical issues.
If we used M88, that would reduce the weight drastically, but that is not always good.

Then, there is the mass flow rate. Unless the air intakes are large enough, a very high thrust engine (even if smaller and lighter than the GE ones) will not get enough air and stall.
If you increase intake, aerodynamics of the airframe goes for a COMPLETE toss.

The weight will cause center of gravity to shift, and fighter jets are made to be unstable as is by design. Where Fly By Wire (FBW) adjusts as per parameters coded into it using years of digital, wind tunnel, and flight tests.
Shift in CG means nearly redoing the FBW entirely.
