The Boys' Track and Field team competed in the WIAA Regionals last night at D.C. Everest. Sectional qualifiers are Ethan Knecht in the Shot Put and Discus, Dirk Vanderwyst and Josh Steinbach in the High Jump, Monty Woltmann in the Triple Jump.

The 4 x 800 meter relay team of Owen Hoerneman, Eli Bremer, Kashton Kilty, Tommy Cashmer and the 4x200m relay team of Jackson Anderson, Harland Meissner, Trey Parr, Monty Woltmann.

Ethan Knecht has been nominated for Athlete of the Month at Marshfield Area Sports. Ethan set two new school records in the shot put, throwing 50 feet, 3¼ inches at the WVC Indoor Track Meet on 4/9, and 51-11 at the De Pere Invitational on 4/18.

Congratulations to Luke LeMoine and Trevor Foemmel on advancing to the @wiaawistate Track and Field meet next week in La Crosse. Luke will be competing in the long jump and 300m hurdles and Trevor in the 300m hurdles.

Last week we had a meet canceled on Tuesday. We ran the 23 second drill instead. Athletes see how far then can run in 23 seconds (goal is 200m for varsity). 8 minute rest. Do it again and try and get within 5 meters of original distance.

A little different speed drill tonight. 5 yard run in, wickets at 5 feet, 12 wickets total. Empasis on force, turn over and fun!

Josh Schaefer was fastest at 2.18 seconds. Trey Parr was the fastest Junior(2.26), Evan Niehaus the fastest Sophomore(2.35) and Beckett Mcfarlane the fasters frosh(2.41).
