Head injuries are no joke.
A friend of mine got into a bar fight years ago. During the scuffle, he got knocked down and hit his head hard on a tiled floor.
He got back up, brushed it off, and said something like, “That’s it for me tonight.”
Everyone assumed he was okay.
He lived alone, and that happened on a Friday night.
When he didn’t show up for work on Monday and didn’t call in, people started getting concerned.
By Tuesday, a coworker went to check on him. After getting no answer, they forced their way inside.
They found him dead on the kitchen floor.
The doctor believed it was a brain bleed caused by the head injury.
That’s why I can never watch videos of people getting knocked out and laugh like it’s nothing.
Someone can look completely fine, walk away under their own power, and still be in serious danger.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned from that story, it’s this:
Never take a head injury lightly.
