Elon, you've officially run out of arguments. Now every Indian who disagrees with you is "Ambani's shill."
Nobody said Starlink is too strong. Nobody's scared of your competition. India's problem is you. A Pentagon contractor building Trump's Golden Dome wants to run internet over Indian soil, and he throws a tantrum every time someone asks who holds the off switch.
Ambani's de facto monopoly?
You SIGNED A DEAL with that monopoly in March 2025 to sell Starlink in India. You didn't have a problem with Ambani when he was your reseller.
You only discovered his monopoly when Jio announced its own satellites.
And let's talk about hypocrisy.
Tesla's biggest factory is in Shanghai. Starlink is banned in China. Have you ever called Xi Jinping a monopolist?
Called Chinese critics shills? Written a sarcastic letter to Prime Minister Xi?
No.
Because Beijing would shut your factory by Monday. India can't, so India gets the insults.
now the math your own fans keep posting starlink could add 100–200 million Indian homes. Starlink is approved for 600 Gbps over India. Split across 100 million homes, that's 6 kilobits per second each. Your revolution is slower than a 1998 dial-up modem. 🤡
If it's too expensive, no one will buy it.
Your own India website showed ₹8,600 a month. A Jio plan costs ₹349. Indians already ran the numbers.
Five days of meltdown. Crime against India. Prime Minister Ambani. collages. And now shills.
The richest man on earth, crying on his own app because a sovereign country wants a security check.
Sit down, elon. Finish the paperwork. India isn't a tesla shareholder you can bully on X.
US President Donald Trump is fuming after missing out on the Nobel Peace Prize for the second consecutive year, with Indian-origin South African jurist Navi Pillay taking the honour.
Trump has repeatedly claimed credit for resolving conflicts, including the India-Pakistan tensions of May 2025 a claim India has rejected.
Meanwhile, memes taking jabs at Trump are flooding social media, with users questioning whether his Nobel dream will ever come true.
Now you know why Elon has been yelling at India for 48 hours.
Jio is building its own satellite network. Around 1,600 low-earth-orbit satellites, 20–22 ground stations in India, and a sovereign constellation for remote villages, islands and border outposts.
And look at the numbers. India's space regulator found Jio's plan technically sound. Its proposed capacity over India is 4.5–5 Tbps. Starlink's approved capacity over India? 600 Gbps.
That's roughly 8x more capacity planned by an Indian company than what Starlink is cleared for.
There's more. Senior government talks have started on hosting defence payloads on some of Jio's satellites. Read that slowly. India's military could ride on Indian satellites, controlled from Indian soil, with no off switch in Texas.
That's Elon's nightmare.
So now the tantrum makes sense---
--Crime against the people of India
--Is Ambani the real boss of India?
--Thanking Rahul Gandhi
--Reposting meme accounts about competition
He isn't fighting for the least-served. He's fighting a clock.
Jio's test flight is planned for 2027. It plans 90–100 satellites by 2028, 400–450 by 2030 and the full 1,600 by 2035. Amazon is coming too, and Airtel already has OneWeb.
Musk has a few years of head start, and every month stuck in India's security review eats into it. If he doesn't lock in Indian customers, government contracts and spectrum before Indian satellites go up, the window closes for good.
That's why he's barking. It isn't about villages. It's about getting in before India doesn't need him.
India's message is simple. You're welcome to compete, Elon. But the future of India's sky gets built in India.
So when India @narendramodi says: our Russian oil purchases helps ease pressure on crude prices, Trump says: India is aggravating war and the cause of Ukraine Russia war! @RanvirShorey
Starlink is licensed in over 165 countries and has spent five years complying with every single law and requirement of the government of India, so why still no license?
Is Ambani the real boss of India?
🇺🇸 USA: Bans Huawei & BYD, calling them national security threats
🇨🇳 China: Blocks Starlink, YouTube & X and builds its own alternatives
🇮🇳 India: If India does the same for national security...
Elon: “CRIME AGAINST PEOPLE OF INDIA” 🤡
Says someone who has ensured that BYD Cars aren’t allowed in U.S so that Tesla can Dominate the Market.
Says Someone whose Country has ensured that Huawei remains restricted in U.S.
StarLink is a Military Grade Satellite Communication System. StarLinks’s Operational Utilisation is more of Military Operation aspects and Intelligence Operations aspect. We have seen how Ukraine using StarLink has done long range Drone Strikes and Precision Strikes, we have also seen how StarLink was provided in Iran despite the Situation being Adverse and when Communications were jammed by Local Administration. No Self Respecting Country can allow you to breach Data Sovereignty.
@elonmusk BYD cars are allowed in India, Australia, Japan, UK Europe and 121 countries.
But BYD is not allowed in USA due to Tesla.
Is Elon Musk real Boss of USA?
Also, Airtel and Jio both have also not got licence for Sattelite Internet, same as Starlink.
Everyone treated equally.
NEW: Interrogation of the Omani pilot: the objective was to crash the plane into the terminal building at Ben Gurion Airport.
The assault on the other pilot was timed deliberately. He waited until the aircraft was over Jordan, near Israel, before moving against him.
From that point the plan was to fly a normal landing approach so nothing would appear unusual. Only in the last seconds, once interception was no longer possible, would he turn the aircraft into the terminal.
The plot was thwarted by one decision. The wounded Indian pilot got the cockpit door open at all costs, and that is the only reason the attack did not succeed.
My salute to the Indian pilot Captain Smit Machchhar for his extraordinary bravery.
Despite being stabbed and seriously injured, he fought back, resisted, opened the cockpit door, and enabled passengers and crew to overpower the attacker — preventing a catastrophic mid-air disaster.
He saved the lives of 174 people, including Israeli citizens and other nationals.
I wish Captain Machchhar a speedy and full recovery.
He is a true hero.
@VolSignals It was literally sma100 where the bounce happened. U don’t need to pay for sma100 and don’t need to get fancy. If cheap drones can cause destruction, do you really need big jumbo fighter jets.
Wouldn’t this allow open source models to catch up to frontier lab models? How is this slowing down open source if all they get to do is catch up to openai and anthropic and then they all follow the same throttling that @DarioAmodei, Elon and Altman are recommending?
If @DarioAmodei wants to slow down Anthropic that’s his choice — do it today!
If he wants to lobby other frontier models to do the same, that’s fine as well — he did that today!
However, don’t go crying to the government and beg them to slow down open source models — has he been doing that behind the scenes?
@F28X5@SpaceX@spacexai@elonmusk@cursor_ai@mntruell Is there any reason what grok bot can do can't be spawned quickly by Anthropic or OpenAI? Seems like this is a very low hanging fruit for any of the frontier labs to catch up
Remember how Trump Gold card was supposed to wipe off trillions in debt and we later found out: Lutnick confirmed to congressional lawmakers that just 1 person received Gold card.
You really believe this?!
BREAKING: President Trump says he will issue a $5,000 "dividend" to every adult citizen in the US if the Republicans win the midterm elections.
There are currently ~245 million US citizens age 18+, meaning this dividend would cost ~$1.2 trillion.
This would mark the biggest economic stimulus payment since the pandemic.
The guy is taking credit for setting up the infra. Everyone in the comments is super pissed. Burnt through 22.5m$ tokens to win a 1m$ prize while piggybacking on somebody else’s breakthrough.
The shallowness is a little too much!
My team worked very hard on the setup, infra, and the runs that resulted in this breakthrough. Many sleepless nights for many people in my team, and across OpenAI. It was a honor and pleasure.
It's incredible and humbling to witness how far Artificial Intelligence has come. Dario's phrase "country of geniuses" in a datacenter has never felt more apt.
It's also important to recognize & honor the long line of human mathematicians whose work built the foundation of this result. In particular, huge kudos to Levent and Tristan!
Overall, I wish the announcement of the results had gone without all the drama. There was no bad intention on anyone's side as far as I know. The drama distracts from the mathematics discovered & the actual science.
So @OpenAI just stole researcher’s work to hog limelight! Alex Karp had been warning saas companies against the stupidity of handing over their IP to LLMs. It is starting to play out!
We’re giving scientists, mathematicians, and engineers free access to our frontier models—starting with 10,000 researchers and expanding to 100,000 through 2027.
