A reasonable minimum standard for Achilles and and Helen is “He should at least be able to kill me” and “I should at least be willing to fuck her” and they failed at both
“Do you guys remember Peanut? Peanut the squirrel. And they killed him. Killed him like a dog. That’s who these people are. We can’t ever forget that.”
Women used to be 30 years old married with 3 children and a husband living in a house they owned, with a high enough standard of living that she didn’t even need to work and could stay home.
Now 30 year old women have slept with 30 guys, have no children, are not married, live in an apartment and have to go to work full time just to survive.
This isn’t progress, this is societal decline and a dramatically lower quality of life being sold to women as their liberation when in reality it is their enslavement.
I’m tired of hearing “Vance or Rubio”?
How about the guy in Florida who actually beat Democrats into submission? Spare a thought for the guy who actually did what we claim to want.
A DEVELOPER WALKED ON STAGE DRESSED AS A 1973 ENGINEER AND "PREDICTED" THE FUTURE OF PROGRAMMING. THE TWIST: EVERYTHING HE DESCRIBED WAS ALREADY INVENTED 40 YEARS EARLIER AND WE STILL REFUSE TO USE IT.
32 minutes from Bret Victor, doing the most quietly savage talk on our entire industry.
-> The idea that lands: we write code as step-by-step text instructions and call that "Just how programming is". He shows four better ways -- all discovered in the 60s and 70s, all abandoned.
Manipulate the data directly instead of typing blind code. Tell the machine your goal instead of every tiny step. We saw all this, then walked away.
Why? The moment you're sure you know what programming is, you stop seeing anything better. That certainty is the cage.
And now AI is dragging us back to exactly what he begged for -- you describe the goal in plain words, the machine works out the how. The future he mourned is arriving anyway.
You thought text files were just how code works. This is the talk that shows it was a choice, and maybe the wrong one.
Watch this one. It'll ruin how you see your job ↓
Amy Coney Barrett flew to Haiti to adopt two Black kids instead of adopting two white kids in her backyard. Classic virtue signal and a major red flag. And with Trump deporting Haitians because they were eating our dogs and cats, it should have surprised no one that she would rule against Donald Trump and for birthright citizenship. Predictable as hell.
No one can logically explain to me why Native Americans were not conferred birthright citizenship by the 14th amendment, but that it does logically apply to illegal aliens and Chinese birth tourists.
Barrett and Roberts are a disgrace to this country.
