$ASTS / $RKLB - Skyroot Aerospace readies country's first private orbital rocket launch
I'm rooting for Skyroot!! 🚀
- Reuters
Space startup Skyroot Aerospace said on Thursday it was preparing for the launch of its Vikram-1 rocket, the first attempt by an Indian private company to place a satellite in orbit.
Founded by former Indian Space Research Organisation engineers, Skyroot is developing small rockets similar to those built by Rocket Lab and Firefly Aerospace.
The Vikram-1, a seven-stories-tall, multi-stage launch vehicle, is designed to carry payloads of up to 350 kilograms into the low Earth orbit.
Skyroot, which became India's first space startup to reach a $1 billion valuation after raising $60 million from GIC and Sherpalo Ventures in May, has set a July 12 - August 4 launch window for the maiden flight from the country's main spaceport, the Satish Dhawan Space Centre.
The test flight, carrying a mix of domestic and international customers, aims primarily to collect in-flight performance data across propulsion, guidance and stage separation systems, the company said.
The launch comes as India opens its state-dominated space sector to private companies, seeking a bigger share of the global market for satellite launches and related services.
Industrial groups such as Larsen & Toubro and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited are also moving into rocket manufacturing as the government pushes to build a $44 billion space economy by 2033.
$ASTS - AST SpaceMobile's vision is to launch 540 dual-use satellites over the next 7 years.
This company will be a cash flow machine in a few years! 😎

$SPCX - Musk denies WSJ report that SpaceX showed AI handset prototype before IPO
July 1 (Reuters) - Elon Musk on Wednesday denied a Wall Street Journal report that SpaceX (SPCX.O), showed investors and other stakeholders a prototype of an AI-focused device ahead of its blockbuster IPO.
"Utterly false," Musk said in a post on X, without elaborating
The Journal had reported, citing people familiar with the matter, that the prototype handset-like device was designed to run on a proprietary operating system, contained AI technology from xAI and would use Qualcomm's (QCOM.O), Snapdragon chips.
The report added that SpaceX had told some investors the project remained in its early stages, with the design still evolving and no certainty the device would ultimately be built.
SpaceX has invested billions of dollars to expand beyond its core launch and satellite internet businesses, pouring money into AI infrastructure, xAI's Grok large language model and plans for space-based computing as Musk seeks to position the company at the center of the AI race.
SpaceX and Qualcomm did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Reuters reported in February that SpaceX had plans to develop a mobile device connected to its Starlink satellite internet constellation that could rival smartphones.
Musk said in January that a Starlink phone was "not out of the question at some point," adding that such a device would be very different from current phones.
Last month, Microsoft (MSFT.O), unveiled a prototype AI-powered badge device for workers featuring Qualcomm wearable chips, pitching it as an always-connected assistant that uses AI agents, voice, a touchscreen and a camera to help users complete tasks.
$ASTS - We are on the cusp of AST SpaceMobile revenues hitting an inflection point as every satellite that goes into orbit will be incremental revenue to the bottom line...
AST is in the process of adding more launch providers. Launch cadence should increase by year end. Adding Mitsubishi H3 (priority for J-LEO) will be a big plus while we wait for Blue Origin to hit the pad again by year end.
Shares have already discounted the slower launch cadence. Adding additional launches in the next 6 months will be upside surprise.
Stay focused!! 😎
$ASTS - Once the market comes to it’s senses and figures out more and more countries/gov’t will want a sovereign D2C service and the only company that can provide that is AST SpaceMobile.
The re-rating higher will be violent and quick!
$ASTS / $SPCX - Total connectivity revenue for SpaceX to rise from $11.3B in 2025 to $35.6B by 2030.
Massive growth ahead with 80-90% margins...
AST will be a cash flow machine!! 👀
$PL - Planet Labs assumed with an Outperform at Wedbush and $50 price target.
The firm says the company "sits at the intersection of two of the most powerful forces shaping the space industry": the global push for nations to secure sovereign access to space and the application of AI to unlock the value in the company's proprietary daily scan of the entire Earth, a dataset no competitor can replicate. Wedbush believes Planet's position as the "indispensable" data layer at the intersection of Space and AI remains undervalued at current share levels.
$PL - Now 25% higher... 😎
PL is the only company with a daily scan of the entire earth, a ~5-year lead over its nearest competitor, as well as an archive of >1,700 images for every point on Earth that cannot be replicated and plays a pivotal role in training ML models. The company operates a data subscription model built on space infrastructure.
Good companies with moats don't stay cheap for long!!
$ASTS - Once AST officially confirms the J-LEO award, we will zoom past $100+.
Just the tip of the iceberg as countries all over the world will take notice and sign on with the best sat tech.
The market will now realize launch cadence won’t be an issue anymore with the signing on additional launch providers including having priority status on Mitsubishi H3.
Not a good look for Starlink but when your tech is 2-3 years behind, it all makes sense.
AST will be of the biggest and highest margin subscription services in the world spanning several sectors with BILLIONS of subscribers.
All you have to do is HOLD! 😎
