@EmarksPW Fofu the inverse of fomo could look like hesitation…fomo flipped on its side, which is another form of shame avoidance and can lead to maladaptive fomo to try and undo the f up which is even worse for me
@EmarksPW Put another way, I’m making myself pay for how I feel, instead of just feeling it. Choosing a supportive action like standing up moving away shaking it out, vs hammering it is my best choice.
Understand this.
Performance is potential minus interference.
That’s it.
You can have all the potential in the world, but if the interference is loud enough, you won’t perform anywhere close to it.
High performers unfortunately ignore this simple rule… because they always want to believe the answer is more.
More screen time, better strategy, bigger size.
Your talent or plan means nothing if you come into the session angry, tired, rushed, anxious, or trying to make something back.
That stuff gets in the way.
It changes what you see and how fast you react.
It changes how much risk feels acceptable in the moment.
So the work is not always about becoming a better trader.
A lot of the time, it is about removing the things that keep blocking the trader you already are.
Because the guy outperforming you may not be smarter.
He may just be clearer.
