Could it be this simple? #BTC
I still think there's room to squeeze higher. A 50-60% retrace of this rally to reclaim prev range lows ~18.5k should shake out late longs and make bears comfy again. Then rip to 28-30k June 2022 lows which was never retested after break.
I was having a conversation with a trader about his trading performance last year.
He made ~9% in returns for the year, and was disappointed he didn't make more.
To his surprise, I told him he's actually done quite well. Here's what I told him:
The biggest mistake new traders make is trying to grow a small account into a big account fast. They end up in a cycle:
Small account > High risk > Blow up account > Back to 0 > Repeat
Instead, they should focus on slow compounding gains over time. Play the long gameโฆ
The easiest way to improve your trading this year is to plan your entries. Donโt open the charts and hop into a trade. Make a plan, set alerts, wait for the right conditions.
I swear some of the best workouts youโll ever have are when youโre sick and would rather be doing anything else. Amazing what your mind can drive your body to do when you push through pain/weakness.
S&P500 looks pretty straight forward. Ran the highs of channel, broke structure, and looks ready to continue to the downside. Intra day setup for next week potentially on the retest. $SPX
As a trader youโre not gonna be able to catch every move the market makes. Sometimes there will be great moves you miss, itโs part of the game. Do you have the discipline to stick to your strategy and be patient after missing moves?
Market is pricing in a slow down of rate hikes. USD initially gained strength on Powells hawkish comments, but weโre seeing USD weakness now as the market prices in a slow down of restrictive policy into 2023.
Overall, nothing crazy, pretty much as expected today.
Powell mentioning inflation goal of 2% numerous times, and saying โwe will stay the course until the job is doneโ
Not sure this โFed Pivotโ narrative has legs anymore for the time being.

Most people have the wrong idea about trading. The goal isnโt necessarily to โpredictโ the market. Itโs good enough to catch momentum once itโs already been established. And if you can do that with a decent win rate, and good risk/reward, youโll be very profitable.
@Pentosh1 Friday NFP and unemployment rate gonna be crucial. If jobs numbers are still still decent, we get another 75 in December. Only way we get 50 is if jobs get hammered imo.
