At least Charlie could have gotten off the T if he'd had a few cents. It'll take $billions to fix now, if driverless cars don't make it obsolete first!
@MBTA today my wait for the red line said 14 mins. After waiting 10 mins, it still said 14 mins away. I left and walked 2 miles to work because that’s literally faster than taking the red line these days. I still haven’t heard back from my previous tweet either. Please respond
I’m in Boston for the weekend visiting friends and family, and my experience on the @MBTA has been absolutely atrocious. Reading about it is one thing, but experiencing it? Yikes. From the orange line being closed to 25 min. + delays to trains so packed no one can get on…
@MilesPerHoward@massdems mbta has been deteriorating for decades. the pinnacle of mapoli kleptocracy. this isn't a kooky koch brothers scooby doo episode. look up all the pensions and six figure patronage jobs for connected people. this is the outcome of decades of financial exploitation w no oversight
I took the #MBTA#OrangeLine 🚍 today from Roxbury Crossing to Forest Hills - wasn’t as bad as I expected. While it’s longer, it is a comfortable ride. (Bonus points for my friendly driver)
This morning I walked from Jamaica Plain to Inman Square, Cambridge. It took 1 hour and 25 minutes. I just took public transportation back. It took 1 hour and 42 minutes.
I hereby propose a new slogan for the T. "The MBTA: 20% slower than walking 5.5 miles." #mbta
OL shuttle went as well as it could this morning and there are A LOT of them running which is great but it still took 40 minutes Oak Grove to Govt Center on a Saturday morning with no traffic and barely anyone getting on and off. Give yourselves plenty of time next week. #mbta
Also there was a lot of visible track/station work happening at every station along the way which was great to see. Here’s hoping 30 days gets it done. #mbta
Prediction for news during #mbta#orangeline shutdown: “Orange Line shuttle busses in Boston canceled due to water main break. Pipes were installed in 1800s and rehabbed in 1980s…” 😭
Typical. The MBTA is pretty much shut down. The government thinks we pay taxes for illegals and their own raises. Wasting money on lots of lavish parties. Chuckles Barker has TDS so he thinks it’s ok to screw Americans, and house, food, clothing, licenses & voting! Electric car?
@mbta Orange line off to a good start since announcing it will shut down for 30 days. Some kids have access to the in train speaker and are screaming “suck my cock” over the speaker.
#WMATA did something similar in DC a few years ago. Will have to search to see how it turned out. But I’m lazy and would love for news websites to just tell me 😅 #MBTA https://t.co/Yn22NCV6V4
My MBTA commute is easily the most mundane, soul sucking aspect of my life and it already eats up 3-4 hours of my day depending on delays/train fires/etc. Anytime shuttle buses are added it adds at least 25-50% more time to the overall commute. What a nightmare for transit riders
We are following the latest MBTA fallout this morning. 5 Investigates sources say today @MassGovernor is expected to announce a one month shutdown of the Orange Line. What we know and how riders are reacting on the Eyeopener right now on #WCVB
