Whistleblowers expose wrongdoing and empower us all. But without strong legal protections and effective whistleblowing systems, speaking up can come at a huge cost. On #WWBD2025, we reflect on a decade of progress and the road ahead. https://t.co/6rY2s0LhVz
To support whistleblowers, it is essential for employers to create an environment where staff feel safe and empowered to raise concerns without fear of retaliation.
As a part of #WWBD2025, the Integrity at Work (IAW) Programme, encourages employers to take action and inform staff about resources and guidance available to them when raising a concern of wrongdoing.
Visit https://t.co/uVuCqyzeWV to learn how employers can foster workplaces that act with integrity.

🔹 The recent pause of the #FCPA weakens the U.S.’s fight against #corruption.
🔹“Trump’s executive order diminishes – and could pave the way for completely eliminating – the crown jewel in the US’s fight against global corruption.” — Gary Kalman, TI US
https://t.co/8P0GuVnPw4
Yesterday, President Trump issued an executive order to pause all enforcement of the FCPA. This is a betrayal of U.S. leadership in global anti-corruption efforts & sends a dangerous signal that bribery is back on the table. https://t.co/pDSDvhVJhp
🚨#BREAKING#NEWS
1. Pausing FCPA enforcement risks increased #corruption and harm to Americans
2. The FCPA ensures U.S. companies compete on merit, not bribery
3. TI US urges swift resumption of enforcement

In Oct 2024 I spoke with @USAID at their DC HQ. They told me they were funding rule of law, anticorruption and pro-democracy programs in Hungary with several million dollars per year.
With this money gone for NGOs, guess who's gonna benefit?
It should be the duty of EU to fill this funding gap. It is in our very own interest because if no-one checks on corruption in Hungary anymore, Orban and his cronies will steal more and more EU funds.
