What’s so interesting about the India of today is the amount of vitriol and hate spewed on social media towards anyone who disagrees with the current government’s policies. Never happened before. Cannot but link a culture of hate and paranoia with the government of today.
India for Indians
India for inclusivity
India for unity
India for humanity.
This is how it’s done.
Thank you @MumbaiPolice for looking after us. #PeacefulProtest
Kolkata, city of my father and half of my lineage, today. I saw someone holding a placard that said: ‘My parents are from two religions, I’m a child of the constitution’ and that indeed is what I am. I’ve never been asked my religion in any country or to justify my identity. 🙏🏼
The right wing media did not spend a fraction of outrage on a woman accused of a terror blast who sits in Parliament as they have on the Facebook posts of two 22 years olds. I'm just struck by how important it is to them to make the students protesting against #CAA look bad.
This is totally unworthy of a great democracy like India. I can’t believe @DrSJaishankar with all his diplomatic experience would refuse to engage with a critic; whether you agree with him or not, he is able to debate anybody! This intolerance of dissent is a BJP political failing
Why were people killed in firing only in BJP ruled states?
Why did "protests turn violent" only in places where BJP controls police?
News reports show BJP workers posed as Muslim protestors in WB. Is that happening in other places, undetected by police?
#Journalism is supposed to be the fourth pillar of #democracy and with our shameful #FreedomOfPress only few hold it up to that title.
@Suchitrawrites introduces us to 10 journalists who stand their ground.
