Google has removed uBlock Origin from the Chrome Web Store as Chrome finishes its move away from Manifest V2.

Google says Manifest V3 is meant to improve security and privacy, but it also limits how content-blocking extensions can work.

The original uBlock Origin is not dead, It still works on browsers that support Manifest V2, including Firefox, there is also uBlock Origin Lite for Manifest V3, but it has fewer features.

A gamer finally turned on his PS3 after years to replay Metal Gear Solid 4 - only to discover that Sony had deleted his PlayStation account after 36 months of inactivity, leaving him unable to access his digital game library. 💀🎮

This is exactly why digital “ownership” is becoming a serious concern. If your games are tied to a revocable license rather than permanent ownership, what happens when your account is deleted?

Sony has previously argued in court that digital purchases are licenses, while legal challenges are now emerging around digital licensing, physical games and what consumers actually own.

With Sony reportedly moving toward a more disc-free future by 2028, these concerns are only getting bigger.

John Linneman of Digital Foundry says publishers and developers are unhappy with Sony’s push toward a disc-less PlayStation future.

“They were largely very upset. A lot of these companies see a lot of return, in fact a majority, through physical sales. … The industry side of things is not positive.”

Washington Post journalist also said he was glad to see more people confirming the concerns, adding:

“these are not just ‘rumors’”

Pennsylvania has blocked the state's attempt to shut down Amos Miller's Farm.

Amos Miller, an Amish farmer in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, had his farm raided by the Department of Agriculture earlier this year, seizing thousands of dollars' worth of food.

Yet, despite the raid, the government couldn't provide a single piece of evidence showing that anyone in Pennsylvania—or anywhere else—has ever been harmed by any of Amos Miller's products.

This is a powerful win for food freedom and the rights of farmers.
