@Chicago_NFL@mrsiefert@AndreBJones2 100 million is nothing if it means working out the better location in AH. This is a big decision for the Bears for the next 60+ years. They’ll make 100 million back in the first year.
@mrsiefert@Chicago_NFL Correct…. And that’s why they’re “regrouping”..I wouldn’t be surprised if they announce Arlington and continue to work on legislature into the fall just so they can get things moving.
@Chicago_NFL@mrsiefert Because there is no rush, the lease runs thru 2032.. if you were Chicago wouldn’t you stall to get the most out of that.. it’s all a setup to make Pritzker look good come November. Bears aren’t dumb..
@Chicago_NFL@mrsiefert Bears have land and plans for Arlington already competed and paid for. All they need is a Bill to pass by November. They literally have excavators on site, permits pulled. This is a whole game of getting the best deal out of Illinois. Otherwise they’d be accelerating elsewhere.
@Chicago_NFL@mrsiefert People actually believe they’re going to Indiana? Does anyone know anything about how Illinois Politics and the Chicago machine work? Look at the history of Chicago Teams threatening moves and the History of Kevin Warren. This is literally the same tactic he used in Minnesota.
@HenryDiaz0o@Chicago_NFL Instead we’ll be paying for the Data Centers and Solar Farms with nothing to show for it.. since when has Illinois cared about saving us taxes.
@Chicago_NFL@sully3001@jp465crockett We’re assuming there was an actual vote.. were you in the room? This is the same play the patriots made in the 80’s when they literally had a groundbreaking ceremony and still bailed. Warren wants Illinois back in the capitol passing the bill.
@Chicago_NFL@roharris33 If Indiana was the sure thing then why aren’t they signing the contracts and putting language in the statement like “unless something strange happens” or they’re still deciding on a site.. I thought the Hammond site was already determined. It’s all language leaving the door open
@AdamSchefter The @ChicagoBears just lost so many life long fans and betrayed many of them. Indiana is trash and Illinois is the worst. @GovPritzker thanks you pos.
@Chicago_NFL Indiana is a bluff and always has been to get the best deal out of IL. They’ll announce AH and continue to negotiate with IL over the summer. They’re not moving further from Halas to a stadium and land they won’t own.
@danholyo@Chicago_NFL The McCaskeys have wanted AH for years.. it’ll be more money up front but more lucrative for them in the future. AH raises the teams evaluation, Indiana does not. They will own everything in AH. That is not the case in Indiana. Not to mention Halas Hall is closer.
@mp2au@WallStreetApes Because the chiefs currently pay the most taxes in the nfl at like 8 million and the bears as of now would pay over 200 million. Any good business wouldn’t deal with that…
@Windycityfan4ev@thekapman Yes but in Illinois the major infrastructure is there.. Metra, airports etc. The closest intl’ airport to wolf lake is Midway, 30 miles away. They’ve already begun upgrading Rt. 53 around the Arlington site. Wolf lake is like building in a forest preserve
@r_saunders15@CoolHan42261747@thescorechicago@paschutz@ChicagoBears Indiana cannot support a bears campus year round as Arlington would..we’re talking year round business. Have you seen the wolf lake site? There is nothing around, like at all. Arlington is in the middle of a huge metropolitan area close to the airport, woodfield etc
@r_saunders15@CoolHan42261747@thescorechicago@paschutz@ChicagoBears Not really, the amount of money they’ll make in Arlington in comparison isn’t close. They have 300+ acres to build
An entire bears city and own every building of it… Indiana would own the stadium which is the entire reason the bears are leaving Chicago to begin with
