It seems that this journey is coming to an end! After many, many, many pages and countless hours working on this, I am quite happy to see my dissertation ready for submission🧾🖊️

[Pablo Castro Sánchez-Bermejo @castretis]

We know that forest diversity influences the trait variation within tree species, so we decided to tell more about these exciting results during the #iDivConference2024 @idiv

[Xiaojuan Liu @XiaojuanLiu3]

As this trip of 3.5 years is coming to and end and I will (hopefully) submit my dissertation soon, lately I have been drawing leaves and trees for the cover of the dissertation 🌳🍃

[TreeDì @TreeDi1]

Thank you @UCAS1978 for hosting the kick-off meeting for the 3rd cohort of @TreeDi1 doctoral researchers last August.

🌳🌳Check our new study: Plant diversity enhances ecosystem multifunctionality via multitrophic diversity. It's about the overall effects and comparison between forest and grassland ecosystems with data from two large BEF experiments BEF-China and Jena.

A new study @NatureEcoEvo led by @XiaojuanLiu3 shows: Plant diversity can affect ecosystem functioning directly and by affecting other trophic levels. Data was derived from subtropical forests at the BEF China experiment as well as temperate grasslands @jena_experiment.

[Pablo Castro Sánchez-Bermejo @castretis]

Last year we collected leaves in BEF-China to study the patterns of intraspecific variability along a diversity gradient. One year later we're excited to present the first results at #ESA2024
Tomorrow wednesday you can see my talk in OOS30 (room 104B) at 10:00!

Measurement campaign completed:
Stomatal conductance of 38 #tree species (27🌳&11🌲) over the course of the day!
Which trees close their #stomata when & what does this indicate about their #drought strategy?
Curious about the results! @agwirthweigelt @idiv #ARBOfun

[TreeDì @TreeDi1]

How do nutrients and microbes influence species diversity effects? How does it translate into trees’ leaf functional traits 🌳🌿?
