@Suchmo83 I completely agree that we have been concentrating on writing text types in KS1 before the pupils have grasped the transcriptional fluency - we need to secure the basics while ensuring the highest level of oral composition

So SATs results have gone down - who’d have thought it!! As long as this is not a stick to beat us with but a recognition of the lost learning during the pandemic. I wonder which way it will go …🤔
