Hackberry Island Chlorosis is showing up again. This was once thought to be caused by a virus but it is a physiological condition where huge amounts of a proteinase inhibitor accumulates in affected leaves from a response to some unknown cause. Next year leaves can be normal.

Some cool work I did during my master's degree (>8 years ago!) is finally finished and out! We found that neonicotinoids like imidacloprid could move from the plant into the hyphae and conidia or powdery mildews, killing mycophagous beetles
