Israel just assassinated Ali in South Lebanon.
Not a fighter. Not armed.
Ali was a nurse.
They hunted him down with a drone, and executed him as he made his way to work at Hiram hospital in Tyre.
Israel isn’t targeting combatants.
It’s targeting the people who save lives.
59 years ago the ancient Mughrabi Quarter of Jerusalem was razed to the ground, in order to build the Western Wall Plaza. Yes, the place where celebrities like to visit and show their support for the racist, genocidal, apartheid state of Israel.
--------
The Mughrabi Quarter of Jerusalem, established in the 12th century, was located in front of the Wailing Wall, and on the eve of its destruction was home to around 650 Palestinians. Immediately after its occupation in June 1967 it was completely demolished, overnight, by the Israeli authorities.
Although most inhabitants were forcibly evacuated in the hours prior to the demolition, a few people were later found dead amongst the ruins. Some of the corpses were disposed as garbage, thrown out with rest of the rubble.
All of this was done in order to make room for the Wailing Wall Plaza, a spacious, photogenic plaza for Jewish worshippers and tourists.
In the photos: the Mughrabi Quarter in 1917, the demolition in 1967, and the plaza nowadays.
Sidoti: Here is what Australia should do
‘•The first action should be a wide ranging review to identify the many ways in which Australia’s relations with Israel support Israel committing international crimes.
•Trade and diplomatic measures include ceasing all defence-related trade with Israel, including dual-use products, components, materials and technology, and ending trade and cooperative ventures with companies developing military items for use by Israel. Australia should also withdraw Australian defence and trade officials from our Tel Aviv embassy and impose secondary sanctions on states conducting defence-related trade with Israel.
•Accountability measures comprise Australia affirming its commitment to enforce international criminal court arrest warrants for Israeli political and military leaders, along with imposing personal sanctions against these leaders and Israeli settlers responsible for violence in the West Bank.
•Legal enforcement actions include investigating and prosecuting Australian citizens who have served in the Israel Defense Forces since October 2023 for potential war crimes, crimes against humanity or genocide, while prohibiting Australian citizens from fighting in foreign armed forces. The full force of Australian law should be applied to Australians who commit international crimes, as the prime minister, Anthony Albanese, has said.
•Settlement-focused measures would prohibit financial transactions with illegal Israeli settlements and end tax deductibility for Australian charities providing funding to organisations supporting illegal settlements.
Additionally, Australia should provide at least 15,000 humanitarian places for Palestinian refugees from Gaza and restore scholarship eligibility for Palestinians to undertake tertiary studies in Australia.
This is not a wishlist. It is the simple implementation of legal obligations. Australia wants to be a good international citizen. This is how it can be that.’

We just visited Sour (Tyre) in south Lebanon.
Last month, when the US and Iran agreed to a ceasefire covering Lebanon, Israel issued an evacuation order for Sour. It has bombed Sour repeatedly since then.
A few days ago, Israel attacked the Jabal Amel Hospital in Sour, killing at least four persons.
Israel is terrorizing Lebanon's medical system.

🚨 Israel Detained Gaza’s Doctors. One killed in Custody, Two Remain Behind Bars‼️
- Dr. Adnan Al-Bursh, a renowned orthopedic surgeon from Gaza, killed in Israeli custody after being detained by Israeli forces.
- Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, director of Kamal Adwan Hospital and one of the most recognizable medical figures during Israel’s assault on northern Gaza, remains imprisoned after months of detention.
- Dr. Marwan Al-Hams, a physician and senior health official responsible for coordinating Gaza’s field hospitals amid the war, has also been detained and has largely disappeared from public view.
All three dedicated their lives to treating the wounded and sustaining Gaza’s healthcare system under relentless Israeli attacks.
Crazy that this is getting barely any coverage. This year’s European Press Prize was just awarded to an investigative report by the Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant. It is entitled “What the Wounds Tell” and in it the journalists Maud Effting and Willem Feenstra document the cases of 114 children in Gaza under the age of 15 who were struck by a single bullet to the head or chest. Almost all of them died or were left severely disabled. They chose to document only the cases of boys and girls under the age of 15 (though often much younger: aged 3, 4 or 7) because these are children who can be immediately identified as such. “A single bullet in these parts of the body is a clear indication that these children were deliberately targeted“, the two journalists write.

Absolutely right, Australia cannot be a global police force. The only reason Labor is pretending we can is because they want to draw us closer to the US and it's next war.
Defense should do just that, defend Australia not threaten our neighbors.

Israel is shooting babies and carrying out pogroms in the occupied West Bank, bombing Lebanon and Gaza, and that’s just one day.
A rogue, genocidal state is on a killing spree and the only people being punished are the ones asking why their tax dollars are being used to fund it.
Even for the NYT, this is a new low:
- Uses passive voice to describe soldiers shooting a baby
- Adds “Palestinians Say” to raise doubts of the account after Israel admitted it
- Leads with Israel’s claim the baby’s parents and grandma tried to ram the soldiers in broad daylight
Albania has officially drawn the

The aggressiveness of the Israeli intelligence collection on top U.S. officials during the second Trump administration has been “unhinged,” one senior official said …
In 2021, Israeli military intelligence officers were caught planting listening devices at D.I.A. headquarters. Last year, officers from Shin Bet, Israel’s domestic intelligence agency, were discovered to have tried to plant a listening device in a Secret Service vehicle.

What does it say about you if you look at this infant and see a threat that must be eliminated?
And what does it say about the values of the countries that defend and enable these murders?
This is the 7-month-old Palestinian baby shot & killed by an Israeli soldier yesterday.
