This morning Waze tried to route me to Express lanes. Cost was $41. My ETA did increase by nine minutes so Express was faster but who wants to pay $41 to save just nine minutes?

Does Waze get a kickback for sending drivers to toll roads when an alternative is better? On my trip today Waze was insistent that I take a toll road route home. ETA: 7:31 and 52 miles. After I took my own alternative which Waze never showed and tried rerouting with U-turns for five miles, the update was 7:28 and 42 miles. And no tolls.

So when the mic quit for the singer of O Canada the crowd picked it up and gladly sang it. Same night in Edmonton, that crowd booed the Star Spangled Banner.
