My big returns are due to the following:
1. When my trades are working, I get very aggressive and I bet big.
2. I'm not afraid of turnover.
3. I'm not afraid of reentering a stock I previously sold, even at a higher price as long as it meets my buy criteria at the moment.
4. I never get greedy and very often sell too soon into strength.
5. When few stocks meet my criteria, I'm not afraid of sitting in cash, even in the face of a strong index rally. I never get pressured into forcing trades outside my mandate. I never succumb to FOMO!
We got questions around this $LLY post. To clarify: on 11/6 the intraday low ~768 happened twice at 11:10am and 2:50pm. This is now a pivot point, and it bounced to ~793 today. Recent pivot points 800, 775, 768, 750, and 700 in Feb 2024
I'm wrong on my trades just as often as I'm right. My long-term success is due to three things:
1. When I'm wrong, I change my position, even if my mind doesn't change.
2. I never stay wrong very long.
3. I make lots of errors, but I avoid the big errors.
$BWXT dancing around $119 breakout that started 10/3. Weβd like to see sustained volume through the close- this stock meets our criteria of shares outstanding decreasing and share price increasing.
Just seeing below note from the company dated 9/28 after hurricane helene
What a spooky end for Halloween!
We've only had 9x of these types of days where we've had a gap down opening, run lower, and close at/near the low of the day in the last ~20 years.
