Starting into #PrideMonth we would like to invite everyone to stand up for #tolerance and #diversity. We, the HeJus, advocate for fairness, open-mindedness, equality and diversity #LoveIsLove 🏳️🌈🤩
@DrumsAndTobi For now, experiments were performed in vitro and in planta in growth chambers. It is possible to apply the bacteria to the field after some more tests, especially because they are environmental isolates not genetically modified. So less restrictions 🙂
@DrumsAndTobi Thank you! Hard to keep the answer short 😉 Bacteria can promote plant growth by many functions mainly involving accessibility of nutrients, such as nitrogen fixation. Some bacteria can also protect the plant from plant-pathogens by the production of antimicrobial compounds.
@DrumsAndTobi@FabianIsensee1 Very interesting research! How can knowledge about the distribution of adipose tissue help to understand and tackle diabetes?
4/4 My research can contribute to develop new #farming strategies including tailored microbial #consortia to support plants under different biotic and abiotic conditions. #YoungScientistsHMGU
3/4 My culture collection contains 1500 bacterial isolates from wheat. I assembled a consortium based on in vitro tests for plant beneficial traits, which was applied to wheat plants. The bacteria had a positive effect. #YoungScientistsHMGU
It's happening!🥳
Today, Maren Büttner (@marenbuettner ), Kridsadakorn Chaichoompu (@chaichoompu) & Johannes Wirth (@johwirth) will kick off our twitter conference, a special #scicomm event taking place this week!
