My wife and I got into it last night about the grocery bill.
I pulled up an old Target order from February 2020.
28 items. $64.50.
Added every single one back to the cart just to see.
$158.30.
Same 28 items. Same store. Same cart.
$93.80 more.
In five years.
We didn’t buy more.
Didn’t upgrade anything.
Didn’t add a single extra item.
Just needed the same things we always needed.
They told us inflation was transitory. They told us it was under control. They told us the economy was strong.
Our cart didn’t get any of those memos.
145% increase in five years.
Not one member of Congress has looked at a grocery receipt in decades.
And it shows.
I want to love the World Cup so much, but I have no idea what is happening. So I just pick a team and cheer when they score.
Man I miss college football...
It's #NationalPollinatorWeek! Bees, butterflies, moths, fireflies and even bats play a vital role in maintaining our #foodsupply and healthy ecosystems. By moving pollen from flower to flower, pollinators help produce seeds and fruit that humans and other wildlife depend on.
@DrewFranklinKSR Open doors for her just like you do your wife. If whomever she dates later in life doesn't do this, she will know they are not the one.
@UKCoachStoops From a "football first" UK fan, Thank You Coach! For 13 years you made us proud. Best Wishes in whatever your future holds. You will always have a fan in me.
Y’all, when it rains a lot, it floods. It’s always been that way.
Flooding has existed as long as rain has. It can destroy homes, wreck communities, and take lives.
That’s why we’ve built warning systems. That’s why I do what I do.
But lately, there’s a rise in conspiracy theories about “weather modification” and “government floods.”
These claims aren’t just false, they’re dangerous. They distract people from real preparedness and get in the way of saving lives.
Please check your sources. You’re being misled by folks who don’t understand meteorology, or worse, don’t care.
