During a confrontational meeting with E3 and EU counterparts, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Iran’s stockpile of uranium enriched to the 60% level is “buried under the rubble and there is currently no real way to extract it.” The meeting concluded without progress on Iran’s nuclear program, as Araghchi presented no new proposals to address international concerns. Araghchi showed little interest in reaching a comprehensive agreement, refused to renew talks with the United States (USA), and did not indicate Iran would grant UN inspectors access to nuclear sites.
