i am leaving up @audiorework because it’s still the thing i’ve done that i’m most proud of, but man i wish it had been on a better platform. come find me over there.
i combined every redesign from @audiorework into a giant, three hour long demo reel spanning the entirety of my year long rework project.
thank you for listening.

@MichaelG_3D AI bros completely incapable of actually having skill in a creative art form LOVE minimizing and mocking other people’s creativity. this is cool as hell
@delta_haas_ one of my favorite of these is the first time you enter the desert in nier automata, there’s a merchant that tells you it’s rough out there and you should stock up before you go only to be immediately followed by a totally unrelated audio log, both very recognizably matt mercer
@dschreiberjr@audiorework absolutely incredible work on this amazing world david, nothing has ever stuck with me the way skyrim’s world has. truly one of the greatest game worlds of all time!
on the job hunting side of things, i'd really appreciate any advice about actually applying this project intelligently to a resume.
while i am super proud of it i really struggle to explain what it really was in just a sentence or two, short of "i did a lot of audio redesigns"
hello new audio followers!
first of all thank you so much for all the incredibly kind messages i've received about the reworks, i had so much fun doing them that it kinda slipped my mind that it was an absolutely insane idea in the first place
@jeffbrice it really is like a four hour block that i will have to find some way to be productive during. i've got a couple small, sound focused indie games i've been thinking about working on, so i'll probably transition more into learning and practicing implementation now instead
@emirmahiuysal thanks emir! that really means so much to me, i feel very special to be a part of the game audio community in some small way. everyone inspires everyone.
i just finished a full year of making one game audio redesign every day. tomorrow i begin the much less ambitious task of making one game audio redesign a week!
