Remember when we learned that our wealthiest and most powerful people were connected to a guy who ran a literal child sex trafficking ring? And then that guy died mysteriously in a jail? And now we just don't talk about it.
@TheQuartering This guy and many more will say something very similar even if he did. They have zero integrity. They are all in on the cult of personality and refuse to detox. It’s embarrassing
@TheJusticeDept This is a crazy post… unbelievable how we have put the least qualified and spineless people into posts because they were loyal. Full stop. Only requirement. Now we have low IQ narcissists running an actual deep state. Hard lesson for everyone to learn
Incoming Speaker @JulieMenin is attempting to block Intro 948B, undermining @NYCSpeakerAdams push to repair the harm to Black and Brown homeowners caused by Local Law 18.
Menin supports carve-outs for landlords and rejects them for homeowners.
She also opposes STRs in NYC while she and her husband profit from them in other cities like Miami.
Pay VERY close attention to Thursday's votes in the @NYCCouncil

@NYHTC@KirstenJohnFoy 948 literally won’t impact any renter. It’s for someone to rent out their primary residence for part of the year. @KirstenJohnFoy knows his claims are false. A renter is never going to rent a home for 2-3 months at a time, so this law doesn’t open up any housing to them
I invite @ZohranKMamdani@KirstenJohnFoy@NYCMayor@NYHTC@tacayler@CUFFH @TenantsFirstNYC and ANYONE ELSE who has told the public that Intro 948-A threatens workers, renters, housing supply or otherwise to debate me... ALL of you, against ME.
This should be easy, right?
The misinformation around Intro 948-A didn’t happen by accident.
It was manufactured — funded, coordinated, and weaponized.
Most people screaming about Intro 948-A have one thing in common:
They didn’t read the bill.
This article breaks down exactly who lied, why they lied, and how working-class homeowners were used as political collateral.
Read it. Share it. And stop letting billion-dollar interests write the script for New York.

@NYHTC@KirstenJohnFoy A homeowner renting out their home while they’re out of town for parts of the year to help cover their mortgage, cover the rising costs of home ownership, or to just put a little more money away for rainy days isn’t going to hurt renters or hotels… this isn’t a zero sum game…
Intro 948-A is a minor change to the Administrative code that offers a tiny bit of relief to people who were harmed by Local Law 18. Yesterday, the hotel lobby @htc sent out their minions in full force in a pathetic attempt to try to silence us.
Pass Intro 948-A. It's justice.
@ZohranKMamdani You're spreading false information that is leading to the disproportionate displacement of Black and Brown NY homeowners.
I wrote the bill. So I know that you're either lying or you haven't read it.
Which one is it?
As the author of intro 948, I challenge you to have a direct conversation about this bill that you and the @htc have been engaging in a blatant misinformation campaign about.
This is NOT an "Airbnb bill."
It was not funded by, coordinated with, or even supported by Airbnb until the last hour. Small homeowners, mostly from the BLACK COMMUNITY (that you have been ignoring), wrote this bill without support from ANY corporation. So stop using propaganda and Black union workers to spew lies about their own families and community members who own and live in their homes.
This bill is about New Yorkers who live in PRIVATE DWELLINGS, and it is astounding to see the MILLIONS of dollars that has been spent to propagandize what our small organization, consisting of small homeowners – many of whom are going into foreclosure due to LL18 – created as a narrow carve out to save us from enforcement aimed at commercial operators.
I am available ANY time to discuss this with you. But, then again, you ignored all our requests to meet when you were on the campaign trail – just like you did with Black media.
Go figure.
@ZohranKMamdani Literally reposting a hotel union/lobby propaganda ad (which is funded by hotels (corporations)) to attack bills that homeowners need to keep their homes is insane. Had high hopes for you, but it’s clear you want everyone to be beggars. Help people make their own money my guy
@tacayler Glad you’ve read it! There’s language in there (that you haven’t screenshot) that says the bill is applicable to 1-2 family homes. Using the word apartment or dwelling vs stating “1 and 2 family homes” over and over is common practice. Like how pronouns are used instead of nouns
@TenantsFirstNYC @NYCCouncil This hotel lobby psyop is so sad. No one believes this group is anything beyond a corporate campaign to maintain a monopoly in NYC. The irony is the claim “tenants not tourists”, so I wonder how tourists feel seeing the hotels pretend to not want them. Can’t make this stuff up
@TenantsFirstNYC @CSSNYorg The regulations are draconian. Banning homeowners who live on their home from using their homes how they’d like is tyranny. Hotels are the only winners by banning short term rentals. It’s corporations continuing to accumulate more. Homeowners should stand up for their rights
@TenantsFirstNYC @NYCCouncil This account is run by scum. You’re misrepresenting and that’s disgusting. Homeowners are trying to get their autonomy back and you’re trying to twist it. If I live in my home, I should decide what I do with it. 3rd amendment of the constitution. Traitors
@nychange@CMMercedesCD46 Lies. Short term rentals haven’t impacted rents at all. Rents have only risen over the years since the ban. The data proves this claim is a lie. Hotels win and this is a hotels lobby psyop. You represent the corporations and not the middle class New Yorkers
