@MDoyler@GuillemBalague Fair enough, "said no" isn't the right way to put it. Alonso ruled himself out of the Liverpool job and chose to stay at Leverkusen. Whether Liverpool made a formal offer or not is a separate debate, but he publicly decided against leaving Leverkusen at that point.
